We had the chance to have the night away and booked the Windermere room at this delightful hotel. What a gem of a hotel this is too. The grounds and gardens are immaculate. A really beautiful house. Perfectly located for exploring this beautiful part of the world. Jonathan and Caroline ensure you are well looked after. Greeted with warmth and friendliness by both . The room was perfect. Extremely comfortable bed, beautiful linen and towels. Lovely bathroom with high quality toiletries. Tea/coffee and fresh milk too . The cleanliness was absolutely five star throughout the hotel. We had a meal at Hooked in Windermere. A short walk from the hotel. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, local produce cooked to perfection. We will most certainly return to this little haven in the Lake District. This is is a fine example of how hotel should be manged and run. Full credit to Caroline, Jonathan and team. We will be back. We had a brief trip to Windermere and Cedar Manor was a great base. Well appointed rooms and public areas. Nice grounds and a short walk into town. Information for guests was very well organised with helpful suggestions for where to eat and what to do

Just got back from a week at Cedar Manor. What a fantastic stay we had! The room (Bowness) was very smart and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of choice. Nothing is too much trouble for Jonathan and Caroline. We sampled the afternoon tea outside during our stay and this was fabulous and highly recommended. Will definitely return in the future.

My wife and I had the privilege of staying at Cedar Manor in November 2023. We timed our trip for the week after Thanksgiving and it worked out beautifully! The tourist crowd was mostly gone and we were able to go and see all of the lovely surrounding areas of the Lake District. The weather was surprisingly cooperative. Cedar Manor was a perfect choice, not only because it is strategically placed near the center of the District, but also because the owners, Caroline and Jonathan Kaye, have clearly put a lot of love into this lovely little part of Windermere. We enjoyed our room, which was meticulously kept by a friendly staff; our meals, perfectly prepared each morning to our order; and our tea, which was a delightful experience that you shouldn't miss if you visit the area. In all, this is a boutique accommodation with really lovely spaces and a local feel that is all about the region, including beautiful artwork on the walls (we bought 2 paintings!) and furniture appointments that feel luxurious without being stuffy. We were grateful for the opportunity to get to know the area and to the Kayes for their perfect hospitality!

Having read all the 5-star reviews, we decided to book a few nights at this property to celebrate our 1st anniversary. Our expectations were exceeded as Caroline and Jonathan made sure that we had everything we needed (and more) to make our stay one of a kind. We also had a delightful afternoon tea, which I highly recommend. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. We had breakfast every morning and we enjoyed everything they served with no exception. They do pay attention to every detail and accommodate everyone. We will certainly return as this was one of the most relaxing places we stayed at.

Best afternoon tea we've ever had. The waitress and Jonathan were lovely. The afternoon tea is divided into 4 courses, pre starter, starter, main (sandwiches), desserts (assorted). Very generous and a bargain. Lots of choice of fresh loose tea, blue lady is the best. Tea refills are infinite as well. So so so beautiful and delicious. If you're in the area it's worth a visit. Favourite part was the beautiful cucumber sandwiches, salmon, and the choux pastries with creme patisserie. Absolutely gorgeous. There's parking on site too. Thanks for the great experience ❤️

We booked a room at Cedar Manor Hotel and asked for disabled parking, i had a reply back to see if a room on the ground floor would be better for us, which was thought full, so we took the Bowness Suit room which was very pleasant and spotless complete with mini fridge, safe and coffee facilities. Breakfasts were delightful, the eggs were the best i have ever eaten and all produce locally sourced ! The location of the hotel was convenient with short taxi rides to plenty of restaurants etc. Our hosts Caroline & Johnathan were friendly and very professional and we enjoyed our short stay immensely and we look forward to a return visit asap. Visited this afternoon for the best afternoon tea ever. Over time we have had many afternoon teas and this surpasses them all lovely owners and staff fantastic food we will return

My wife and I stayed for four nights in this delightful boutique hotel to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Johnathan and Caroline were the perfect hosts. The Hotel is beautifully decorated and immaculately kept throughout. Breakfasts were absolutely perfect with just the right amount of choice, plentiful and delicious. We particularly liked the manicured and well stocked pretty garden. As a treat we pre- booked the afternoon tea - we had read the reviews and we certainly were not disappointed. My wife considers herself to be something of an afternoon tea connoisseur, having sampled many, including some top end London Hotels. She has never had better - high praise indeed! Fabulous hotel in a fabulous part of the country. Even four days of wind and rain could not ruin our stay!!
