our food stunning and so well sorted for our anniversory and birthday celebrations staff was so lovely and ambiance was again stunning ...cosy though weather was bismal we didnt care enjoying and taking it in feeling so special thank you rookery

Had my baby shower at rookery hall on Sunday afternoon. Thank you to the team for making it so perfect, Lauren in events organised this for me and was very thorough throughout. The restaurant staff on the day were all so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. All of my friends commented about how wonderful the day was and how lovely the atmosphere and food is there. We also made use of the outside terrace area which was just stunning, the weather was great and the fountain in the background made it so much more special. Thank you to rookery hall and all of the staff for making my baby shower so memorable

A party of 33 of us attended the Christmas party night for our work's christmas party. The food was wonderful, and everyone had a fantastic time. The only issue was the dance floor was not big enough! We had a number of the team stay as guests in the hotel, and they all complimented the facilities. A very special thanks to the Events Co-Ordinator, Catherine, who was extremely helpful in organising our booking, including acommodating some very last minute changes the evening before the event.

We booked an evening meal in the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary since we got married there 25 years ago, a happy celebration turned into a nightmare as I suffered severe stomach pain and terrible diarrhea in the early morning after that meal. What’s shocked me the most is the lack of follow up from the hotel after I informed them of my bad experience. It doesn’t seem that Rookery Hall is taking this food poisoning incident seriously which is truly disappointing. They just ignored my email asking for a full explanation and investigation which leaves me with no option but to share this bad experience.

This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely setting. The staff are especially helpful and friendly, and everyone made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the spa and would recommend the massages and lunch at the spa cafe. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious but quite expensive. Although there was a wedding on and corporate events, we were not disturbed at all. We enjoyed a day in Chester, which is 40 minutes away, has a lovely ambience and great shopping. We think that this is an exceptional hotel and are already planning our next visit. Our thanks go to all the staff for giving us such a great time.

The staff are incredible, the food is incredible and the rooms are incredible. The spa was outstanding too. The inside of both the hotel and spa are clean and wonderful. However the only thing letting it down is the outside. The grime/algae build up on the outside of the hall and the pavilion is awful and extremely noticable - in fact the grime on the entrance was my first impression - wasn’t great (luckily everything else was great) please give it a good jet wash!

I wanted to express my gratitude and thanks for a wonderful event over the weekend. Your team were just brilliant, so attentive and went the extra mile throughout the weekend. From the Prosecco Rosé on arrival to the special treatment by Dan and his team in the bar, the transfer of baggage to rooms, Ella’s genuine control of the whole event. Everyone was so pleasant, always checking everything was ok, from the domestic staff to front of house, all seemed genuinely invested in our enjoyment. The food was fabulous, beautifully prepared, cooked and presented- thanks to the chefs. Max (or Matt?) with the cheese trolley went down a storm (we’ve never had a spontaneous round of applause before!). The spa was fabulous, from the casual access to the specific treatments, amazing attention to detail. Breakfast just finished it all off! We’ve been doing this for over 30 years, and many of the group came to me to say this was the best one we’ve had, for so many reasons. I can’t take any credit for this, it’s all yours, and your team.

An amazing hotel & spa in stunning grounds. We've held a corporate event at the hotel for the past 2 years and don't have any plans to switch venues. The hotel staff at attentive, polite and you get a true sense that nothing is too much effort. Rooms are immaculately clean, incredibly comfy beds and the food is delicious. An easy 10/10

From entering the reception to leaving the staff are amazing. They are all very attentive to ensuring your stay is to relax. They are all extremely Helpful. The Hotel is beautiful and we had a amazing stay. The spar is very clean and the Tea afternoons with little cakes Wow. There is a great little pub just down the road if you want to stretch your legs. The residents bar has low lighting and soft music and just makes you want to talk and drink and rekindle memories that last a lifetime. We will be booking again in Summer 2025

Booked an afternoon tea for my Mum's birthday. The room was beautiful, service by Helen was exceptional. All the staff were really friendly, nothing too much trouble. Sandwiches and cakes were so good! Had a coffee in the lounge too. Thanks for making Mum's birthday great!

My son arranged one night away for my special birthday with the family. From checking in to departure the service was fantastic. My room was wonderful..with a surprise of fizz awaiting!My grandkids were deliriously happy with the power shower and TV in the bathroom. The milk and cookies delivery at 5:30 was spoton- as was their goodies bags. We had a wonderful a la carte meal in the restaurant. From drinks in the bar to a delicious dinner- the staff were attentive and made us all feel special. My daughter in law and I had spa treatments and again the attention to detail was second to none. The pool and surrounding areas were fabulous. Taking two grandkids aged 9 and 6 along is always a challenge but we were so impressed by the kindness of all staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou to Kelly in the spa who did my treatments! Well done Rookery Hall- one night away exceeded all our expectations. I can highly recommend this hotel and spa and cannot wait to go back!

I booked a few days at Rookery Hall to celebrate my 70th birthday. What a very special place this is ....the hotel, food , the lovely room not only met my expectations but exceeded them in every way. The staff deserve the most praise though , they were outstanding and a real credit to their management team ...all in all a truly memorable stay and I wish to thank them for making my birthday so special.

A beautiful hotel with really professional staff. As soon as we walked through the door the treatment was five star and so personal. The bar service was top notch and there's even books and games to play whilst you enjoy a peaceful evening in a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The turndown service was very special and the staff were so helpful and willing to go the extra mile. We also ordered a snack from room service which was delicious. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back!

I was at Rookery for my friend's wedding and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated like royalty. Everyone was so welcoming and we had a good laugh and all the staff could not be more accommodating. Special shout out to Carol (Carole?) who went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed from the food with meals to wrapping up my Bridesmaid flowers so I could transport them home safely. I really felt she cared as did all of the staff. Our belongings were treated with care and the rooms were so homely whilst also being luxurious and very comfy! I'm gonna recommend it as a wedding venue to people from now on! Thank you so much for giving us all a wonderful time and making my friend's wedding the most magical event. We'll be back for sure to try out the spa!
