Lovely spotless hotel,clean spacious with fantastic pool area and gardens.large comfortable room with great beds.close to the beach and town area.friendly staff and very nice food and service. Will definitely return.

We stayed here last September for 1 night (see previous review) and we enjoyed it so we have returned for 4 nights. Zahara itself is a sleepy old fishing town with numerous bars and restaurants and a magnificent beach. Hotel Porfirio is a very friendly, well run family owned hotel. The hotel is very nice and homely and built in a local architectural style. We had requested the same suite as last time because it was so nice, we were not disappointed. The housekeeper Carmen was very friendly and bubbly and took time out to help me with my Spanish speaking! The pool area was excellent, nice pool and lots of beds. Breakfast in the large dining room or on the patio was very good, with plenty of breads, cheese and meats, fruit and pastries etc. Service was very good. We ate in the restaurant for 2 nights and the food, drinks and service were all excellent, thanks to Maricarmen and Noelia. We did return and would recommend this great hotel.

This was our first time staying at the hotel and we were very pleasantly surprised with the value for money. Hotels at Zahara can be very expensive and so this was a nice change. The location is close to the town centre and the hotel had 2 pools. Rooms were clean and quite spacious for the price paid. We will definitely be returning!

Staff were very helpful and genuinely friendly. Rooms were comfortable and beds were firm, which suited us fine. Rooms were well cleaned and bathroom was spotless with a bath and shower. Wi-fi was easy to set up and adequate for all tasks. Balcony was a great extra. Pool - and jacuzzi - was good size and clean with comfortable chairs. The breakfast was criticized in some reviews we saw before our visit, but we found this to be very good with a wide range of options, lovely coffee and attentive staff. The location of the hotel is also good, eight to ten minutes to town and about 5 minutes to beach. Exceeded our expectations.

We were on a trip from Malaga to Jerez and we decided to check out Zahara on the way, so glad we did. We had only booked 1 night as we were unsure of what we would find there! Hotel Porfirio exceeded our expectations and we wished we had stayed there longer. Check in was very efficient and friendly, 2 brothers as I recall. The hotel is very nice and homely and built in a local architectural style. We had a suite which was clean and very large and furnished in a local Spanish style, there was a nice balcony with sunbeds. The pool area was excellent, nice pool and lots of beds. Breakfast in the large dining room or on the patio was very good, with plenty of breads, cheese and meats, fruit and pastries etc. Service was very good. We will return and would recommend this great hotel.

We had a really great stay here. The room was very large and the beds fantastic. The bathroom well equiped. The staff was professional and very kind. The breakfast was great and the pool was relaxing, nice atmosphere. We also used their restaurant at our last day but we should have tried earlier because it was one of the best experiences we had in Zaharas, really! There is only 50 meters to the beach and a 10 minutes stroll to the centre of Zahara. We hope to come back.

Hotel 100x100 recomendable. Habitación y cuarto de baño amplio. La terraza con vistas a la puscina genial. L@s camarer@s muy buenos. Buen trato. Comida muy buena. Con buenas medidas covid. A 3 minutos de la playa. Sin duda volveré
