シンドラー ホテル(Schindler)

It is traditionell and small restaurant. Its cozy and calm atmosphere. Really a safe card. Good and affordable Austrian food. Friendly owners & staff. One of the best restaurants in Sankt Anton. A visit here I recommended, but book in advance.

We were late for check in but a quick phone call resolved this and the super friendly and helpful staff welcomed us. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were good. The breakfast was great and parking for our motorbikes was convenient and secure. Great stay!

This place has some really bad oveviews. We met nothing of it, on the contrary. The place has been rebuilt, everything is new, furniture, balconies, bathroom, nothing wrong at all, and it is within good distance of the major lifts. The room is large, good-sized shower, bedroom and sitting-room and with a good balcony facing the city and mountains. Nothing wrong at all, but we have seen larger breakfast. Anyway taking into account that we are off-season understandable. Summer is over, winter not started. I had expected more of St. Anton town. It you like wandering in the mountains or skiing it is fine, but that is all it offers.

The experience at Hotel Schindler was anything but pleasant. One staff member we encountered upon arrival was rude, angry, and scolded us for wanting to store our luggage outside of check-in hours. He was completely unprofessional and made us feel extremely unwelcome. He even yelled “Go away!” in German after us. The entire experience was unenjoyable and made us feel like we had done something wrong, even though we had a written confirmation from another staff member that we could leave our bag while we were out skiing. The other hotel staff were friendlier, especially the cleaning lady who proactively tried to solve the conflict (but also ended up getting yelled at). However, the other staff did not try to compensate us whatsoever, so we had to go up at 6 in the morning the following day to get a luggage locker at the train station. The lack of hospitality and customer service was appalling and we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Loved the breakfast, great location, easy parking. No complaints at all, it was a great stay!

Having visited a number of times over the years, we were really disappointed this time. Food was very average and by far the most expensive meal we have had in St Anton, salmon was plain and steak not particularly tasty. Hopefully things will improve.

I have never met a man so angry and scary as the man behind the front desk (the owner?) of this hotel. This man should not work in hospitality nor should he even interact with guests in any way. Downright scary experience for us and our children and ruined our holiday in an otherwise lovely St Anton. DO NOT STAY HERE .

30 Jahre St. Anton und 25 Jahre Hotel Schindler bei der Familie Fahrner. Für uns 10 Freunde ist das Hotel Schindler mittlerweile wie ein zweites zu Hause. Service as is best, beste Küche in St. Anton. Wir geniessen die Zeit sehr, Skifahrer, Snowboarden, Après-ski und fein essen gemeinsam mit den Freunden. DIE Woche des Jahres unter uns. Wir haben den Fehler begangen, zu fragen, ob man hier frühstücken könnte - selbstverständlich für Bezahlung da wir erst ab 14 Uhr einchecken wollten. Statt einer ruhigen sachlichen Absage wurden wir mit einer Lawine von Beleidigungen überschüttet und sollten uns sofort schleichen. Ab die Possscht! Also entweder der Besitzer des Hotels ist vor seinem frühstücksschnapserl ein extremer Morgenmuffel oder er hat grundsätzlich nicht mehr alle Tassen im Schrank! Haben sofort storniert, auch andere Besucher die dieses Spektakel Tiroler Gastfreundschaft erleben mussten:)
