So, the hotel is nice. A lot of instagramable places inside the hotel. Nice atmosphere also. I choose to give only 4* because the rooms could be a bit refurbished. We stayed in a suite and the bedroom was very nice, but the living room had an older sofa and a small closet. It is very clean, that I must say. Breakfast was ok, many choices, but could be better. The staff at the reception was a bit overwhelmed and had some issues in helping us with some requests, but I have to say that we were part of a big event and maybe this is why they were so overwhelmed. It has a good location, there are a oot of restaurant and shops around. It's a nice place.

We stayed here as a family, 2 adults, 2 teenagers for 5 nights in July, I was a bit concerned given the mixed reviews but on the whole the hotel was great. Reception are bar area are nice and service was quick and friendly. The rooms had all you needed and although the bedrooms were dated in decor the beds were comfortable, rooms were large, lots of storage and the bathrooms were renovated with an excellent shower. The rooftop pool was nice to get out of the heat though it could do with bringing up to date and towels by the pool and a pool bar would have been a good addition. Location is really good for easy walking to all local sight seeing spots and loads of cafes, bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. Views from the hotel aren’t great but to be expected given it’s the middle of the city centre. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the location plus benefit of an outdoor pool made it a good choice.

Hotel Palafox proved to be a delightful choice in central Zaragoza, and one which we would recommend highly. Located on a short, quiet street, it is only a few minutes’ walk to busy commercial areas with numerous shops and restaurants. For example, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, perhaps the best known tourist destination in Zaragoza, is just a pleasant 15- or 20-minute walk away. The staff are professional and accommodating, while our room was spacious and warm. Likewise, the on-site restaurant, Aragonia, served delicious dishes in an elegant setting — we liked it so much that we ate dinner there two of our three nights in the the city. We also ate in the well appointed bar and were very happy with our experience. In short, Hotel Palafox is an excellent choice for travelers who want to pamper themselves in Zaragoza.

We stayed one night as we past through Spain going south. We had a very good experience and would happily return. Hotel was easy enough to locate. About 5-10 minutes from the motorway. And only 2 minutes walk from the centre which was lovely. Zaragoza is a secret gem! Parking was in the basement and is well signposted from the main road. It is secure and affords quick easy access to the hotel lift from where you can easily access all floors. It is tight to get in and out, But parking spaces themselves are large. Campers are saved the twists and turns. Parking was extra cost at approximately 25 euro. The reception and bar are lovely, and far more luxurious than the price would suggest. Rooms and hallways are classic Spanish in feel and a little tired but perfectly acceptable. Rooms were clean and well presented. We also received ropes and slippers which was a nice surprise. The pool is accessed via stairs or lift on the top floor. It’s a lovely setting although again, felt slightly tired, but clean. Nice views across the city. I used the gym once which was typical of hotel gyms. A few treadmills and some cable machines. Not very well equipped but it did the job for a quick workout before another long day driving. Checkout was 11 which was brilliant. The receptionists spoke great English and were very accommodating and professional. We asked for an extra bed for our 6 year old and we were upgraded to a family suite free of charge. Would recommend and we will go back.

We were a family of 4, which included two 17yr olds. Our rooms were spacious and with plenty of storage space. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Small bar fridge was very handy. The breakfast had plenty of choice and was kept well stocked and fresh. We enjoyed the rooftop pool at then end of days sightseeing, which included pool towels which you get from reception. Well situated for sightseeing. Recommend open top bus tour on first day. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed staying here and would go back to Zaragoza again.

Wonderful surprise for a last minute one night stay. Cool older hotel with very nice upgrades. One of the best rain showers ever! Super friendly staff. Terrific value for the money.

Third time I have stayed here in the last few years. Nothing has changed. Rooms are the same, getting old and technical issues each time. They cannot be competetive with this rooms set up. Breakfast is super. Location is perfect. Staff is OK.

Barely 3 stars. Negative: Room is dark, furniture is worn and needs service. Wallpaper is sticking out of the walls and all in all looks untidy. Breakfast is fine, but there is no salad, just poor choice of cucumber and tomato. Positive: electric car charging station
