Travel from Sorrento, along the scenic route out of the Sorrentine peninsula, and onto the motorway. Turn off the motorway at Pompeii. The journey is approx. 45 minutes from Sorrento to Pompeii. Accompanied by the guide the clients will explore the main features of the ancient city including the baths, bakeries and theatres just to name a few. The city of Pompeii is usually visited in the morning although this can change during high season. Pompeii is now considered one of the world’s most important historical sites because of the way the volcanic ash preserved the city and its people. This gives historians and archaeologists a vivid picture of life in the Roman Empire around 2,000 years ago.
