    Landslip disrupts services between Horsham and Dorking (Main)

    関連する情報:A landslip between Horsham and Dorking (Main) means that trains are unable to run between these stations. Buses will replace trains between these stations until Monday 16 February. Customer advice: A landslip between Horsham and Dorking will impact trains running between Horsham, Dorking and London Victoria until at least Monday 16 February. Until Monday 16 February: There will be NO train service between Horsham and Dorking. The following stations will not be served: Warnham. Ockley. Holmwood. An hourly train service will continue to run between Dorking and London Victoria, and there are alternative Southern and Thameslink services from Horsham to London Bridge and London Victoria, via Gatwick Airport. If you are travelling between Horsham and Dorking (Main): Please allow for at least 30-40 minutes longer than usual to complete your journey, as you will need to use alternative transport to reach your destination. An hourly replacement bus service will operate between Horsham, Warnham, Holmwood and Dorking, in both directions. This will connect with train services running between Dorking and London Victoria. However, if you are travelling from Horsham into Central London, please use the alternative Southern or Thameslink routes from Horsham. You can also use your ticket to travel at no extra cost on Metrobus route 93 between Horsham Bus Station, Warnham, Ockley (serving Clarks Green Roundabout), Holmwood and Dorking. If you are travelling to / from Ockley: Replacement buses running between Horsham and Dorking are unable to serve Ockley due to a road closure between the A24 and the station, until the end of service on Friday 30 January. If you are travelling from Ockley, please press the green emergency button on the station Help Point, and we will arrange onward travel for you. If you are travelling to Ockley, please speak to station staff who will assist in booking onward transport. Ockley will be served by rail replacement buses from Saturday 31 January. Car parking easement: If you have a car park season ticket for Ockley, you will be able to park at Horsham, Crawley, Reigate or Three Bridges if you choose to travel to / from these stations as an alternative (please note, these car parks can be busy). If you're travelling in the London area, you can plan journeys on alternative routes by using the TfL Journey Planner. You can use the Southern app to find up-to-date information. Journey planners for Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 January are up to date, and reflect our planned service on this route. Journey planners will be updated daily. Can you tell me more about the incident? A landslip was reported in the Ockley area on Friday evening, 23 January. Since then, specialist Network Rail teams have been on site assessing the damage and repairs necessary and then starting work on the track and surrounding embankment. All lines through this route will be blocked until this work is complete. Watch this video to find out more. A full line closure is expected until Monday 16 February, between Horsham and Dorking (Main). Landslips can happen for a number of reasons, including severe weather. Areas at risk of landslips are monitored proactively to ensure that the track is safe, and Southern also receive reports from train crews of any risks to the railway.

    Track flooding and bridge damage disrupts routes between Liskeard and Looe

    関連する情報:The line between Liskeard and Looe remains closed following a period of recent heavy rain which flooded the track. The heavy rainfall, combined with high tides, resulted in the water levels at several bridges along the line being above the level which allows for trains to run safely. Investigations took place once the water levels receded and the results of the investigations have confirmed some damage that will require repair work. This will need to be carried out before the line can be reopened and trains are able to run again. No trains will operate between Liskeard and Looe. Rail replacement transport will run as stated below. Currently, trains are not expected to run on this route until the start of service Tuesday 3 February, at the earliest. Please note there is no Sunday service on this route. Customer advice: Replacement minibuses will operate at train departure times from Liskeard and Looe. The designated stops for the replacement road transport are as follows: Liskeard - at the front of the station. Sandplace - bus stops by the station entrance. Looe - at the front of the station. If you are travelling to / from St Keyne Wishing Well Halt or Causeland please call Great Western Railway customer services on 0345 700 0125, or use the station help point for taxis to be arranged. Additionally, you may use your ticket on Transport for Cornwall bus route 73 between Liskeard and Looe at no extra cost.

    Poor weather impacts Great Western Railway network-wide services

    関連する情報:Recent adverse weather as a result of Storm Chandra has caused flooding between Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple / Okehampton. This has closed all lines running between these stations. This means that trains are unable to operate, and will be cancelled or revised. Disruption is expected to continue until the end of the day on Tuesday 3 February. Customer advice: The flood water still has not yet receded between Exeter St Davids and Okehampton / Barnstaple, and much of the surrounding area is under water. Great Western Railway are running a limited hourly return coach service between Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple. These services will call at Crediton and Eggesford only. An hourly non-stop coach service is running between Exeter St Davids and Okehampton. This service is limited, so please consider whether your journey is necessary before setting off. To further assist you with your journey, your ticket can be used at no extra cost on Stagecoach bus route 5 between Exeter Central (New North Road), Newton St Cyres (Belluno) and Crediton (Station Cross).
