Dongda Temple is one of the seven major temples in Nandu. It is about one hundred and two hundred years old and is the largest wooden building in the world. The Chinese monk Jianzhen monk in the Tang Dynasty once set up a ring here. Dongda Temple can not use a tripod... Later, it was found that many places are prohibited from tripods~ It is estimated that it is afraid of affecting the flow of visitors~ Fahuatang (February Hall) on the east side of Dongda Temple, because the deity is "not empty, but also known as Guanyin" Church.
According to the historical records of the Zhengcang Institute: In the preparation stage of the construction of the Big Buddha, the was built before the main buildings of the central gamma (such as the Great Buddha Hall, the lecture hall, etc.), and in the year when the Big Buddha was built, Weifang began teaching activities. Every year, at the north side of the Fahua Hall, the Second Session (Water Festival) is based on the eleven-faced Guanyin, confessing the crime, and praying for the world's Taiping and the harvest of the grain.
