Lovely walk from the train station to the castle. Take about 15-20min from station exit to the castle main gate. Entry was ¥600 per adult ticket. Suggest to take the lift from ground floor up to the top first then work your way down each other floor with some osaka history.
My experience in the Osaka Castle was great, but not that special. I mean yes, Osaka Castle is one of the prettiest when it comes to its exterior design, but inside, there's not much to see. If I get to choose between it and the Nagoya Castle, I would rather choose Nagoya Castle. But you know, that's just for me. Also, aside from the castle tower, the only thing that I liked was the other building in the area. I forgot what it was, but it was a European-styled building with all the restaurants inside. We grabbed a coffee in a cafe there. We went there on the last week of March hoping for a full bloom Cherry Blossom trees, but unfortunately, the Cherry Blossoms weren't in full bloom yet. We specifically followed the Cherry Blossom forecast, but we were still 1 week early. So, I suggest to all those who are planning to go, make sure to check the Cherry Blossom forecast then go 1 week after the date when it is said to bloom.
Prepare your feet to a lot of walking. There’s a lot of people so you need patience to take a decent photo. There are some stalls that sell food and vendo machine going up the Castle is also plenty. It’s beautiful and worth a visit, It’s just that, theres nithing really much to do.
one of the most amazing place to visit in Japan, especially in this weather, very beautiful!
