Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris is a church building located in the centre of Paris, France, on the island of Sidi. It is also the Cathedral of the Catholic Paris diocese. Notre Dame was built between 1163 and 1250. It belongs to Gothic architecture. It is one of the most representative Gothic churches in France. The church was founded in 1163. It was decided by the Archbishop of Paris, Maurice de Sully. The whole church was completed in 1345 and lasted more than 180 years. Victor Hugo, a famous French writer, once wrote the most poetic description of Notre Dame in his novel Notre Dame de Paris. I believe many people, like me, know about this building through the film Notre Dame de Paris. When I came to Paris, of course I wanted to see it, but there was no chance. It was a pity that I saw it when I was passing by the Seine River cruise ship.
