Its main tourist attraction is the Okinawa Peace Prayer Library, which solemnly records the war, the war itself and the reconstruction history of Okinawa Island. Other monuments to the park include the "Foundation of Peace", which consists of many large slates bearing the names of all the soldiers and civilians killed in battle, as well as Koreans, Taiwanese, Americans and British. With the beautiful flowers and plants, the vast garden, the Peace Memorial Hall and the Peace Memorial Archives stand quietly. Pure white monuments are made of three-dimensional brocades, and lacquered peace memorials stand there with gentle and steady expressions.
