Haikou People's Park is an important resting place for Haikou citizens. It is an open park and a public activity area integrating culture, entertainment, sports and so on. People's Park covers an area of more than 440 mu. Sitting west facing east, Huamu Panshan, ancient tree top, there are two lakes in front of the main entrance of the park. Surrounded by coconut trees on the lakeside, the banyan willows are green and dripping, and the sun is shaded and cool. East Lake is oval in shape. There is an island in the center of the lake. It connects Yuanmen Avenue with Jiuquqiao Bridge. West Lake is short-necked gourd-shaped with wide water surface. There are Hainan Liberation Monument and General Feng Baiju's statue Memorial pavilion, commander of Qiongya Column, planting more than 5000 tropical and subtropical ornamental plants of various families and genera.
