Hongguangshan, located near Kaziwan, north of Urumqi, was a barren mountain more than ten years ago. Now it is full of greenness. A national 4A-level eco-cultural tourism park is being built here. In addition to the Great Buddhist Temple, the Hongguangshan Eco-Park covers an area of 15,000 mu. It also includes ecological landscape forest, zoo, mythological statues of Journey to the West, sunshine swimming pool, three kilometer grape corridors, green square and 70,000 square meters of blue light lake. The park is based on greening, dominated by ecology, supported by tourism, and soul of Buddhist culture. After more than ten years of unremitting efforts, it is now based. It has become a large-scale eco-cultural tourism park which integrates eco-tourism, leisure and vacation, human settlements, sports and entertainment, scientific research and education, and a new scenic spot for Urumqi citizens'leisure and sightseeing.
