From the moment I arrived, the architectural charm stood out: sleek, modern white buildings nestled against a lush forest backdrop, with rustic stone retaining walls adding a warm, earthy contrast. The interiors are just as thoughtfully designed—cozy lounge areas feature a crackling wood-burning stove that invites you to kick back and unwind (I spent hours with my feet up by the fire, sipping tea, and forgetting the outside world). The outdoor spaces are equally delightful: sun-dappled patios with soft flooring, where my spaniel wandered by (a sweet, unexpected touch!), and gravel paths that lead to sweeping views of the wooded hills. Every corner feels intentional, balancing minimalist design with the raw beauty of the surrounding nature. What truly makes this place special is the tranquility. It’s quiet enough to hear the rustle of leaves and birdsong, yet the amenities are comfortable and well-appointed—no roughing it here. The staff (though I didn’t interact much, thanks to the seclusion) seemed attentive, and the little touches (like the firewood stacked neatly by the stove) made the stay feel personal and cared for. If I had to nitpick, it’s that the remote location means you’ll need a car to explore nearby spots—but that’s part of the appeal for a true escape. Rating: 5/5 This hotel isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a chance to slow down, breathe, and soak in nature’s beauty. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The space is incredibly spacious and thoughtfully designed with a blend of modern minimalism and warm local textures. The soft, high-quality bedding was so comfortable I slept like a baby, and the ambient lighting created such a cozy, relaxing vibe. What stood out most was the meticulous design—every corner feels intentional, from the tasteful wall art to the elegant stone accents and woven decor. The room is spotlessly clean, with thoughtful touches like a comfortable sofa, a sleek coffee table, and a large projection screen perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. It’s not just a place to sleep; it’s a stylish sanctuary to recharge. 📍 Location: Unbeatable for Tianmen Mountain The location is unbeatable! It’s just an 8-minute walk to the Tianmen Mountain Cableway—no need to rush or take a taxi early in the morning. This saved me so much time and hassle, making my trip to Tianmen Mountain totally stress-free. Surrounding the homestay, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and local shops, so finding a delicious meal or grabbing a snack is super convenient. And for a peaceful evening stroll, the Lishui River Light Belt is just a short walk away—perfect for enjoying the cool evening breeze and the beautiful city lights. 🍳 Breakfast: A Delicious Wake-Up Call The breakfast here was a highlight of my stay! It’s incredibly abundant, with a mix of local specialties and Western options. I loved the fresh local noodles, fluffy pastries, seasonal fruits, and rich homemade soybean milk. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with care—such a lovely way to start each day. 🤵 Service: Warm & Thoughtful The host and staff were incredibly warm and attentive. They provided great tips for exploring Tianmen Mountain and the surrounding area, and were always quick to respond to any questions. The service felt personal and genuine, like staying with friends rather than just a hotel. ✨ Final Thoughts Miro Designer Homestay offers the perfect combination of stylish design, unbeatable location, delicious food, and exceptional service. Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, this is the best choice in Zhangjiajie. I’ll definitely be back and will recommend it to everyone I know visiting Zhangjiajie!

What an amazing place to stay! The secluded Secret Hotel is the perfect blend of nature and luxury. You can see and feel the love that host Riva and her husband have put into every detail. The guest areas are very luxurious and the interior is beautiful. With the icing on the cake being: art on the walls created by Riva herself and her daughter. Also the meals and breakfast were delicious. We stayed for 3 nights and were treated with a different breakfast everyday. If you book a stay during winter/autumn, make sure to bring enough warm clothes as it can get really cold and we were a bit unlucky with the temperature of the shower on the last morning. All in all, an amazing stay in the middle of nature, including lovely animals: say hello to the sweet cat and dog on our behalf!

This hotel is ideal for onsen lovers. The onsen here is phenomenal with many different flavoured hot spring pools. Very relaxing. And this area is accessible by bus from Changsha, around 1hr 45 min. The hotel room is spacious with personal hot spring dipping tub. And the food at the restaurant delicious.
