Great service and stay and facilities provided are exceptionally good including food and pool and drop to mall road

Most pathetic service. First they had us for half n hour while we were settling up. They handed us 2 room keys as we were 2 couples with a 4 years old kid. When we reached the room we saw that the room was already open and messed up (It was not cleaned up). When asked they said it ll take 15 min to do so but it took half n hour. My kid was so hungry that he started getting restless. When asked about what kind of service is this, Mr. Dinesh (duty manager) replied that “aapka check in waise bhi 3 baje ka hai and aapko humne isiliye 1 room available kiya hai”. He dint even know that his staff had handed us 2 keys stating that rooms are ready. He was rude in replying as it took us 4.30 pm to enter the room which messed our whole day s plan. He offered us 25% discount on food and be beverages which were already hiked up to 18% gst. So effectively it was merely 7%. On top of that room dint have shower or hair dryer working. When we asked for food in the night billing was not proper and they had to recheck it. On the next day when we were checking out they wasted our 1 hour just in luggage pick up (sloppy service). We had an extra bed but that was also broken…… i would really not recommend this hotel to even my enemies. If you dont have interest in running a hotel stop taking bookings.

An excellent hotel although, being built on the side of a hill, there's a lots of ups and downs (stairs [chairlift available] and lifts) to be negotiated going to and from the public rooms, your bedroom and Cafe Valley Vue. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our bedroom was extremely comfortable with all facilities, including an iron and ironing board doe those last minute pressing jobs. The views from our bedroom were also exceptional (as they were from the bar and coffee lounge in the main building). Our meals were taken in the Cafe Valley Vue. There was plenty of choice and my wife, who is Gluten Free, was shown which meals would not compromise her diet. An exceptional hotel in an exceptional setting.

It was a memorable experience the hotel has great interior spaces and spans on multiple levels you get to see views from every level. It was good to see facilities provided for disabled to avoid walking stairs. The food was great and staff too.

This is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff and wonderful views of the town and the surrounding mountains. As with most hotels here, it's got a confusing layout, built as it is on the hillside. In the lobby you can buy coffee and cakes. The rooms are very pleasant.

Good service and hotel staff very coopertive had a good experiene love to back again with more memories. Booking confirmation should be provide for two to three days so person can enjoy and take memories with this hotel

The hotel has so much potential to grow, however is let down by the poor maintenance of it's rooms. The aircon doesn't work effectively and smells of smoke constantly or of stale food smell. and the windows are sealed shut. The staff is good though and quite supportive. Also, don't ever try their pastries, they are beyond horrible and mealy. Their lobby and bar area is a great place to hangout. Their breakfast buffet is quite good, however for some reason the entire hotel has fake grass installed everywhere.

Amazing views from the large hotel reception window. A great hotel in a good location with delicious food. The rooms were incredibly good, once you found them! We were directed to a lift but were not advised we would not see level 2 and this was actually a separate section of the hotel and we had to go outside to reach it (it was raining!) furthermore the room number indicated were were in Block 2 but the signage referred to Block B. Very confusing! Would stay again though and the drinks were one of the most reasonably priced on our trip.

It was really good the rooms were clean and the bathroom was also amazing but the restaurant service was a bit slow but overall the room service was really good and the food was also good and me and my family really enjoyed it and we would love to come back

Nice hotel, over several levels. Visited first 2 nights as part of organised tour. As previous poster noted, it was a struggle at times with all the stairs due to altitude. The food was excellent. Room spacious with good views, but our room was not cleaned at all, we ran out of toilet paper, creamer and water. We had to request from reception. Upon payment of our bill, we pointed out that rest of group had had their rooms cleaned, towels changed etc and and complimentary cakes, where we had had nothing at all, they initially refused to take anything off our bar bill. IN the end,20% was taken off, which amounted to £2.40. A disappointing end to a fantastic stay in Shimla.

Everything felt good, right from the infra to cordial nature of hotel staff. Rooms felt quite retro-modern, and same for the washroom with inbuilt bathtub. The major miss I felt was No Separate Bar to have some relaxed time. Also, the children activity room was closed at a very early time, against the stated time of 7 Pm, so my kid could not enjoy as much.

We stayed here for two nights as part of an organised tour. The hotel was by far the best we had stayed at our whole tour. The staff were brilliant and very attentive. The food was excellent as were the rooms. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The layout of the hotel might cause problems for people with mobility issues. It is spread out, and includes many steps which this altitude did cause my wife and I slight shortage of breath when negotiating the steps in order to get to the dining room. We are fit 65 year olds.

The first thing to impress was the most polite, helpful and pleasant staff, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was sparkling clean, the food was plentiful and always hot when required to be. The rooms were clean, comfortable and wonderful views over the valleys. Location is convenient for a walk up to the main street if you feel energetic if not the hotel has a courtesy car overall a wonderful stay, thank you to all the staff of all grades.
