The hotel has a distinct old-world charm which actually adds to the overall feel of being in Shimla rather than staying in a generic modern property. The room we stayed in was comfortable, with a good amount of space and a nice outlook. One of the best parts is how conveniently located the hotel is — you’re right in the middle of Mall Road yet the property itself feels tucked away enough to relax. We also appreciated having multiple dining options within the hotel, which made evenings easy after a long day of exploring. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever required. All in all, a well-located and comfortable place to stay."

"This was one of our favourite hotels on our Indian travels. A classic period property with lots of original features and a magnificent location overlooking the valleys. It's called Summit because it's up a hill. Rooms are clean and bright. Our had lovely wooden floors and fittings, a spacious marble bathroom, and was well appointed with tea/coffee making facilities, a fridge etc. Staff were very helpful. As a period property, it's single glazed so may get chilly in the snow, but there are extra heaters etc. Breakfast was good - Indian buffet, or eggs cooked to order with toast etc. The dinner buffet was excellent and good value at R600 per person. A hotel like this for under R2,800 is something of a bargain."

Whether this is a reflection of the wonderful hospitality culture of Himachal or the exceptional leadership of the team, every interaction made us feel welcomed and valued. The rooms were beautifully appointed, the food was outstanding, and the overall standard of service exceeded our expectations. The property itself is impeccably maintained, set amidst stunning natural surroundings, and offers a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views. What truly stood out was the personal touch provided by the General Manager, Nipun. He was there to welcome us on arrival and made a point of greeting guests each morning at breakfast. "“Myself visited Club Mahindra Mashobra with my family, and it was an amazing experience. This resort is a very beautiful heritage property located near Shimla, surrounded by peaceful mountains and greenery. The atmosphere of the resort is relaxing and perfect for a family vacation. The rooms were very clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The mountain view from the room was absolutely breathtaking, especially during the morning and evening time. The overall ambience of the resort gives a premium and comfortable feeling. We also visited Kennedy House Restaurant and the Cosy Nook Bar, both of which were beautifully designed. We really enjoyed the bar experience, food, and hospitality. The food quality was excellent, delicious, and served fresh. The food and beverage service was very quick, professional, and well managed by the team. I would like to give special thanks to Mr. Umesh and team members Manisha, Varun, and Anuradha for their outstanding hospitality and helpful nature. They were always polite, attentive, and ready to help us with a smile. Their service made our stay more comfortable and memorable. Overall, it was a wonderful stay at Club Mahindra Mashobra. The Grand Welcome Hotel
"⭐☆☆☆☆ This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had, primarily because the experience was nowhere close to what was advertised or what the price suggested. The first red flag is the location and approach road. The hotel is located off the main Shimla route, and the final stretch of nearly 1 km is through extremely narrow, secluded roads with little to no lighting. Arriving after dark is uncomfortable, and at several points you genuinely wonder whether there could even be a hotel at the end of such a road. The disappointment continues upon arrival. The property looks and feels more like a basic 2-star hotel rather than the 4-star property portrayed online. I paid around ₹10,000 for the room at 5 PM, trusting the ratings and photos. To my surprise, when I checked later that evening around 8 PM, the same room was available for approximately ₹4,000. Frankly, the hotel feels much closer to a ₹4,000 property than a ₹10,000 one. Had I paid the lower rate, my expectations would have been very different. The room itself had an unpleasant smell, and the bathroom was worse. There was a foul odor, and basic toiletries were missing. The overall condition of the room did not reflect the standards expected from a premium-priced hotel. Breakfast the next morning was another letdown. The spread was very basic, consisting mainly of bread, eggs, and cold parathas. While this may be acceptable for a budget hotel, it is not what guests expect when paying premium rates and booking a property marketed as a 4-star hotel. Overall, the hotel is significantly overpriced for what it offers. Poor accessibility, underwhelming facilities, smelly rooms, and a very average breakfast make it difficult to recommend."
