Super 8 by Wyndham Aberdeen East

Seems that the bathroom was not the most clean. Almost felt dirty trying to take a shower. Room was nice.

On checking in was informed there was a mandatory fee for room safe that was not mentioned on booking. Then my first room had not been cleaned from last guest so had to change rooms. Second room had bad plumbing but made due. Been using this hotel for last three years but will be looking for another one now.

Convenient as I was coming in from hwy 12. Room rates were great, had no use for a pool and only needed a place to sleep. My only complaint is the semis coming into town using their jake brakes.

Room upstairs had multiplr dogs that were running around at all hours of the night and were easy to hear. Keycard quit working on 2nd night.

Our room was filthy. The bathroom had hair all over the toilet and one of the bed had weird black Beatles.

Property was fine for my needs but the place badly needs an update. Tub shower area in my room in particular was moldy and shower drain was partially plugged and wouldn't drain properly. Had a "below ground level" room and noise from above and surrounding mechanical was bad. East side building security door latch was broken allowing anyone to walk into the hotel at will.

The dining area was very nice and food offered was good. the convention group were a bit noisy.

Recommend to clean better the rooms and specially the bathroom. After clean to use a freeze for the room to have a good smell. And fix some of the rooms door is very difficult to open.

It was good overall, but the rooms need air fresheners right after cleaning. The bathroom shower curtain needs to be changed.
