I only gave 1 star as it wasnt possible to award nil stars I booked an overnight stay at the Beeches on Monday 22/01 travelling by train to conclude a business matter. Unfortunately all train services from England were cancelled so it was impossible to travel. I contacted Ian at the Beeches at 08.30 am explaining that I wouldn't be arriving and due to national circumstances would it be possible to switch my booking to the following day (23/01). I had checked availability and 3 rooms were showing as available. Ian immediately refused after I'd explained the circumstances, then he tried to use the excuse that he didn't know if any rooms were available, I informed him I'd checked there were 3, he then changed tack and point blank refused. This really is disappointing owing the the circumstances but it fair to assume that due to lack of flexibility what the situation would be if a guest experienced any problem when actually staying at the Beeches.
