ブエナ ビスタ シック ホテル(Buena Vista Chic Hotel)

Staff were great and did the best with what they had. Hotel looks great in the pics. 1. Very noisy neighbourhood. Sitting on the balcony was not pleasant. 2. No air conditioning or a safe for valuables. 3. The pool was absolutely frigid. Not a single guest used the pool when we’re there. Nice place but not worth the cost.

Older Hotel with lots of character. Nice room. Staff was very courteous and very helpful. The surrounding grounds were gorgeous with a lovely walk through their coffee plantation. Not sure about walking outside of the hotel grounds. Busy and noisy street. Rough looking neighbourhood.

Great staff…always helpful and friendly service providing advice and guidance using Google translate conversation mode for trips and excursions.

Really quite and beautiful hotel. Outside area of gate not so great, but would recommend if you are in transit to another location and don’t need to leave property for anything.

We stayed in this hotel thinking it was close to the airport and a would be a decent place to stay as we flew in and out of SJO. Not close at all, it took us nearly 45 mins. to get there from the airport. Out of all the places we stayed, this was by far the most disappointing. The 1st night we got there late, staff was very nice & helpful but when we got to our room there were dead bugs on the fold out bed, and the mattress actually sunk in the middle and was so uncomfortable, the room had a very overwhelming bad smell. The following week we checked in one more time before our flight left early the following morning and this time they brought another mattress to go on top of the fold out sofa bed, which was no better, we only had 3 towels total so had to call to get more delivered however there was no phone in the room, we called from our phone & they didn't answer. Apparently the girl in training didn't think she needed to answer the phone, so we had to head to the front desk in pouring rain to get more towels. When we opened up the towels one of them had more dead bugs inside. Lastly, our reservation was one person more (6 vs. 5 reserved) pretty tacky to charge extra fees. In my opinion this hotel needs to look at the big picture and this really left a bad taste, especially with all other issues we had.

Beautiful, nature inspired property which embodies the serenity of rural Costa Rica, with the comvenience of being central. I look forward to going back.

My only complaints are the water pressure is not great and there is no air conditioning. My room didn’t have good air flow because of the corner location and even though the staff gave me an extra fan, it was still pretty warm. A mini split ac would have made my stay perfect!!!

I love everything about Buena Vista Chic hotel. Staff was amazing and extremely helpful. The property is BEAUTIFUL and very clean. The view of San Jose from the property is beautiful and you can watch the sunrise. Overall 10/10

The place was beautiful and the staff was very kind and greeting. The placement of the hotel was not the greatest, in my opinion, I wish I had more accessibilities to more Resturant walking distance. Very limited. The rooms were a little smaller then anticipated for my upgrade. A fridge in the rooms would be helpful etc but the house cleaning was very on top of keeping the beds and trusting. So overall it was a cute beautiful place to be secluded. Would be a beautiful work place if you want to be away from people.
