ラ メゾン ドゥ ラ プラージュ(La Maison de la Plage)

What a little gem of a place. % beautiful bedrooms all overlooking the bay and getting views of great sunsets. Karine our host was so helpful, welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The girls who worked there were delightful. Breakfast in the garden was a delight each day with local food and fresh bakes cakes. The gardens were lovely and led straight on to the beach which when we were there was empty, fabulous. Canoes available for fun times and safe inside the reef. Great for snorkelling. We had a wonderful time and cannot recommend La Maison de la Plage highly enough.

A lovely, small guest house, with great hosts and staff and easy access to the beach. There is one good restaurant, which is open 6 days of the week, and other dining options are at a Fried chicken take away and a burger shop/cafe.

Absolutely wonderful accommodation set in a beautiful quiet area . Beaches right at the bottom of the garden , to the right there are several smallish ones and a more populated larger one to the left . Popular fishing with the locals . Fresh mango for breakfast and eggs etc . Could not fault it . Karine was particularly lovely as was her husband Jerome and nothing was too much trouble . There’s street food stalls within a few minutes walk as well as ‘ Quicken Chicken’ which is a fast food place which isn’t as horrendous as the name may suggest. The ‘almost ‘ resident taxi driver Jimmy is an added bonus and is nearly always on call to take you anywhere from short trips to whole day tours , his English is very good and his laugh is addictive! +230 5 921-2910 Air conditioning in the room works well and is a must during 89% humidity. Pool is very nice and offers a slightly cooler alternative to the warm sea ! The sunsets at this accommodation are perfect . There is a kitchen which is available for guests to use including a fridge freezer . Also a lounge area , outside hammocks, sunbeds , tables and a bar area .

All staff so friendly & helpful. Room spacious & comfortable with gorgeous ocean view. Idyllic setting. Breakfasts adequate & al fresco with a beautiful view to start the day. Would highly recommend.

Amazing spot! Staff and owners were very accommodating and kind. Property has a nice pool, fun sitting area, kayaks to use for free, hammocks, and many other lounging corners around the property.

This place is simply fantastic, it's a gem on the western coast of Mauritius. I had a spacious room with direct access to the garden, the pool area and the beach. Excellent breakfast with everything you need. Karine and Jerôme are excellent hosts (beside the fact that they have a very tasty collection of spiced rums) and they made me feel at home for two days. Albion itself is a quiet place with many locals, no large resorts, a nice beach and a couple of good restaurants.

Staff very kind and helpful. The property very clean, near the sea and beach, big rooms with terraces that provides an amazing view. It has a nice pool, beautiful garden and 2 kayaks to explore the sea. I loved the quietness and the freedom that I found at the location, guesthouse and also on the large beach.

Le lieu est spacieux et offre de multiples opportunités de loisirs et détentes (piscines, kayak, accès direct à la plage, chaises longues, hamacs, des salons de jardin, ...). Les chambres sont spacieuses, équipées de climatisation, et disposent d'une salle de bain tout aussi grande avec une douche Italienne très agréable. Les hôtes étant absents durant notre séjour, ce sont des amis à eux qui les ont remplacé pour l'occasion. Les échanges ont été très amicaux et très appréciables, que ce soit avec Valérie qu'avec les filles Nath et Sandrina qui l'aident et qui étaient toujours de bons conseils sur les lieux à découvrir et les spécialités à goûter. Le petit déjeuner servi en extérieur avec ce cadre très agréable (vue sur la mer et les palmiers), est très complet, mélangeant les spécialités locales et Européennes. Du rhum arrangé fait maison nous a également régulièrement été offert le soir. Merci d'avoir participé à la réussite de notre séjour.
