We have recently returned (21-30th july). We were a family of 4 with 2 older teens, and stayed in a 1 bed apartment with pool view. The apartment was very spacious, with large bathroom and a separate kitchen. Would've been handy to have a blind in the kitchen, as when opening the door in the morning to make a coffee the light did wake the teens. The kitchen has all appliances and utensils you need. For the first 6 days the pool was idyllic. Plenty of sunbeds, even at 1030hrs. But then the cohort of guests changed, they were queuing at 9am when the pool opened, reserving sunbeds with towels, and disappearing. Hotel really needs to clamp down on these guests. Hotel is spotless and in a great location. Walk- 6min to Aldi and Tourist train stop , 5min to strip, and 15min to beach. Uber approx £3 to old town and £12 to Vilamoura. The cave and dolphin trip is worth it, we booked this online. There are plenty of local restaurants in walking distance. Can recommend Copos Peticos (tapas), which is excellent but booking advisable as very small. Steak Farnell, very good steak and very reasonable, Jardim Rustico (fish) and only 2 min walk. We didn't pay and watch the evening entertainment and it was disappointing that the bar closed at 1130pm. Would recommend this hotel, which is very quiet.

Location less than 5 min walk to Aldi/Spar & the quieter end of the main strip. Old town 5 mins away in an uber/bolt. Rooms were spacious and spotless, cleaning every day if wanted. Pool atmosphere was great & well stocked bar. Opens at 9 and no need for the ridiculous bed running there’s always beds available. Adult & Kids pools are on the cold side but you have the option of the warmer indoor pool which our 2 year old preferred. Poolside entertainment throughout the day & kids club. I feel if the kids disco changed from afternoon to evening you’d get a lot more staying in hotel for dinner. Shoutout to David in the Stone bar, an absolute gent & wonderful service. Golden Garden, Urban Indian & Villa Carmela (a small family run Italian beside hotel) were by far the 3 nicest meals we had. Plenty of bang average steakhouses on our end of strip.

Very good hotel/apartment complex. Very friendly people, like receptionist Fernando. The studio has a kitchen and comfortable beds. There is a beautiful large swimming pool with sunbeds. There is a good restaurant and activities are organized such as karaoke, aqua gym, bingo, and a quiz by a fun resuscitation team consisting of Roshan. Highly recommended.

We had a brilliant experience at this hotel and enjoyed every single moment of our 5-day stay. There was so much fun to be had with a huge variety of activities on offer. A massive thank you to the lovely and incredibly friendly team—especially Claudio, Leo, and Roshan—who made our holiday so special with their amazing energy. The restaurant was excellent, offering a brilliant view of the pool alongside fantastic vibes and a great atmosphere. It was a truly wonderful holiday, and we are already wishing we could come back! Highly recommended.

Myself and my partner have just returned home from a lovely week in Vila Petra. It was our second trip to Portugal together and first one in Albufeira. Our room was lovely and always cleaned every day. It also had a nice view over the whole hotel grounds and the pool. Was lovely waking up to it every moment. There was some noise but to be honest when you are on holiday you are going to hear some noise! Plus people are enjoying their holiday and the noise was never like after midnight so that’s all good with us. The value for money is great as well. The mini supermarket, spa (both had a lovely massage), basketball court, snack bar, you really do have a lot to choose from. You wouldn’t need to leave the hotel if you didn’t want to! We also loved the fact that we could have a bit of a lie in and be down for the pool at say 10am and there would be plenty of sunbeds to choose from. Especially since I myself am always worried about getting burnt! The entertainment from Leo, Claudio, Leo & Roshan was also a welcome surprise as well. We like all those things as it brings a bit of fun to the relaxation of the holiday. We were fortunate to win plenty of times as well. Won two bottles of wine, two scoops of ice cream and a darts challenge. They also understood at times when we said no to things we were just taking it easy and relaxing. No pushiness at all which was very much appreciated. They were all very enthusiastic about their jobs and their face always lit up whenever they saw us pop down for the bingo, quiz nights they had. Very refreshing to see that from staff these days. Even talked to us when they saw us playing pool once their shift had ended. Remember us guys? Erin & Liam haha!! The vibe around the whole hotel was very relaxed as well. We like to keep ourself to ourselves but if we did engage with other visitors they were always friendly and liked a good chat. The location was great as well. You would have no idea you were so close to the Albufeira strip. Lots of bars/restaurants to choose from and there is something for everyone. We just got engaged a month before we arrived so it was a lovely celebration for us and could not have wished for it to go any better. My partner even said after the first day that she would definitely come back and I felt the same way. So hopefully we will be seeing you guys very soon

A fantastic 10 day holiday at Vila Petra. The hotel is well located and you can walk to various amenities which are very close by. The staff are amazing, polite and extremely friendly and helpful which made our stay extra special. The hotel is spotless and the rooms cleaned daily and towels changed. The studio rooms have a fully equites kitchen for self caterers, however we stayed full board and we could fault the food and service. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so special.

Absolutely fab. Rooms so spacious and clean. Pool is lovely and also really clean and no problem getting sunbeds. Staff are so friendly and welcoming, especially David in the bar, he makes the best whiskey sours and such attention to detail, we look forward to seen him every year we come back. This is our fifth time and we enjoy it every as much everytime we come. 10 out of 10 for us xx

We spent a lovely 10 days at Vila Petra. The hotel was incredibly clean with very comfortable rooms. The separate kitchen area was very well equipped. The safe in the room does not come at an additional cost. The staff at the hotel are all welcoming, polite and helpful. The pool area was also very clean with attendants on hand collecting glasses frequently and although sunbeds were being reserved there were still ample beds available with spaces throughout the day. The entertainers were fantastic, Claudio and Roshad have energy that is infectious but not intrusive and they really make an effort with the children in particular, always including those that want to join in. Although a short walk away, the main Albufeira strip was not for us although as some have mentioned, the old town is a short Uber away. All in all a faultless stay, we would happily return, thank you Vila Petra!

Amazing experience start to finish, food, entertainment plenty of beds staff our amazing cleanest room ever stayed it. at pool Claudio and Roshan are great for entertainment and made our week, definitely be back
