Nice hotel , nice setting . Staff excellent. David on reception a credit to himself . For a 5 star hotel the evening meal was not at all good . Poor guality and not a lot of choice . Eg , last night tinned carrots . Not acceptable in a supposed 5 star hotel . The pool area very nice . The pool was FILTHY with lots of tiles missing on the pool floor and walls . Does not warrant its 5 star status .

Beautiful modern hotel with great staff right next to the beach. We stayed for one night, which turned out to be their last night of the season, very good value. We used the indoor pool and had it to ourselves. Beautiful rooms and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Will stay again.

Beautiful hotel location and room. Huge breakfast spread but very limited (if any) vegan options. Front desk staff was great with check in and recommendations. Just across from the beach with beautiful views of it from the room. The beach was super windy and rocky but definitely stunning.

Lovely hotel and clean and spacious rooms. Staff were helpful and friendly, though not all English speaking. Beautiful swimming pools. Food- on half board- generally excellent, though, being out of season, it was less impressive when there were fewer guests.

Having had a fabulous stay at the hotel and having paid everything requested when we stayed, including clearly stating we had two small dogs and clearly stating we would pay for everything - and thinking all was in order - two months later with no warning, no message, no courtesy whatsoever, the hotel charged 100€ from my credit card. I assumed it was fraud as I couldn't imagine a 5 star hotel not having the common decency to let me know they had made an error on front desk when I paid my bill and had forgotten to charge me for something at the time which I would have course paid for gladly. I clearly referred to the dogs repeatedly and clearly offered to pay all costs at all times. Having had a great stay and even considering planning a 50th birthday party in the location I have just lost 2 working hours, had to cancel my bank card and order a new one - all because Cabodegata beach hotel slyly took money from my credit card like a credit card fraud without informing me. I genuinely assumed it was a fraudulent transaction. I am beyong disappointed and dismayed and it has left a very sour taste in my mouth. I will sadly never return. This i not even the behaviour of an inexperienced one star hotel.

We had a lovely time at Cabo de Gata Beach Hotel. Sandra made our stay amazing, with a beautiful sea and pool room view upgrade, and with activities to do such as kayaking, and care hire for a trip to the most beautiful beach in Spain. We were able to communicate well with her as her English is brilliant and she knew and understood everything we needed and would like to do while in Spain. We have decided to visit again next year, and we hope to see Sandra again, we miss her! The hotel grounds, pool area and location are perfect. We love water sports and the weather in Almeria was amazing. Great for a relaxing time, and nice for sunset walks along the beach. The environment and atmosphere are stunning, with lovely music around the hotel grounds, and beautiful palm trees flowers and plants. Sandra hizo que nuestra estancia fuera increíble, con una hermosa mejora de habitación con vistas al mar y a la piscina, y con actividades para hacer como kayak y alquiler de atención para un viaje a la playa más hermosa de España. Pudimos comunicarnos bien con ella porque su inglés es brillante y sabía y entendía todo lo que necesitábamos y nos gustaría hacer mientras estuviéramos en España. Hemos decidido volver a visitarnos el año que viene y esperamos volver a ver a Sandra, ¡la extrañamos! Los jardines del hotel, la zona de la piscina y la ubicación son perfectos. Nos encantan los deportes acuáticos y el clima en Almería fue increíble. Genial para un momento de relax y agradable para paseos al atardecer por la playa. El ambiente y la atmósfera son impresionantes, con música encantadora en los terrenos del hotel y hermosas palmeras, flores y plantas. Gracias Playa Cabo De Gata ¡hasta el año que viene! ❤️

I cannot understand the bad reviews. We had a great time in this hotel. The facilities were very beautiful, the pools were kept meticulously clean and all the staff spoke good English. All the cleaning ladies were lovely, very kind people and the quality of cleaning was good. Especially the more mature receptionist woman with red lipstick (Alicia, I suppose?) was excellent, she was so polite and smiled all the time. The cuisine was nice at the restaurants, only at the pool bar Citrus the chicken tacos were a little dry. The men at the Citrus pool bar as well as the waiters at the buffet were so kind. It was very nice of the blonde-haired pool boy to sit between the two large pools and keep an eye on both pools on many days, so people were able to swim in them both even during off-season. We also tried the exclusive experience at the inside spa and it was quite good. The spa lady was wonderful and very nice. We have already communicated our small improvement suggestions to the spa staff, so we are hoping to have an even better experience next time. To all the unhappy guests, my advice is to report their problems immediately to the polite blonde-haired manager instead of complaining online later. In this hotel the management truly understands customer service and deals with even the smallest issues very promptly and takes the guests’ concerns very seriously. We were very happy with the service and the customer-service oriented attitude at this hotel. We will surely come back here and probably try out the sister hotel Cabogata Jardin as well as this experience at Cabogata Beach was so wonderful.
