ホテル デ ウィメリュー(Hôtel de Wimereux)

We found this place on our way to eat out.the smell of the food being cooked from outside was amazing. Booked there and then for the next night.food was amazing as where the staff.sea food platter for me was exceptional,as where all the food courses.

Has changed hands but still good, some nice additions. Bedroom good and new bathroom. Nice new bar area. Food was good and well priced. Make sure u get key code for parking gate. Good stop off in Northern France. Easy access to the town, restaurants, shops. Ask for room at back as front can be noisy at night

A central hotel which has recently been extensively refurbished. The rooms are simple, but now with improved decor, modern showers, tea, coffee etc. We did not dine in the hotel, but the restaurant was busy. Secure (paid) parking is a bonus.

The hotel lacks the ambience of when it was Hotel du Centre. Parking is now charged at 15 euros per day and before it was free. The rooms have hospitality trays which is excellent. However, the restaurant is not the same. It used to attract lots of local guests but when we ate there a day or so ago only guests in total. The menu is very limited and wines are only served by the bottle or glass. No carafes.

The new people running the Hotel Du Centre ( Wimereux) are no match for the Boulanger family!!! No friendly greeting! Rooms smelt of an old peoples home! Bar was shut 30 minutes before advertised time! Food not of past standard! And too expensive for the standard it offers!!! But it drove us to the Speranza! Now that is a good hotel and even better restaurant!!

Rooms were small plain basic furniture that needs updating, bed uncomfortable. Pillows felt damp, sound proofing was lousy. Worste part was the restaurant staff were rude and indignant, food was awful, had to go up to the counter 3 times to chase the girl asshe never acknowledged my request on order. Twice order was wrong and charged extra for wrong portion. Used to be a regular under old management they were lovely, now they make McDonald's look good.

A nicely situated central hotel, with friendly staff. The family room comfortably sleeps five, with the three kid's beds up on a mezzanine staircase above the main room. We ate in the restaurant for dinner which was excellent, and good value for the quality - strong emphasis on local fresh fish. The breakfast buffet was also nice, an extensive choice including pancakes and fresh orange juice you squeeze yourself. The negatives are the decour of the rooms is faded and they are sp****ly furnished. For the price charged they could do with modernisation. Also they charge €20 per day for the parking, which seems expensive. But we would happily return.

Centrally located hotel, 5 minutes from a beautiful beach and plenty of restaurants. A kettle in the room was a bonus - I do love my cup of tea first thing, but oh how I wish the French would realise that Earl Grey is not. What most British people prefer!. Our room was a very good size and very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Loved the wallpaper in the lobby/reception area. Secure parking a bonus, although a little steep I felt at 20 euros a night. The breakfast was good, with a selection of foods, although slightly let down by the provision of only one plate and set of cutlery, making it quite difficult if you want scrambled egg followed by croissants and jam. The only other gripe was that the chair provided in our room was designed for a desk, something a little more comfortable would have been good. All in all though a very pleasant stay and would be happy to return.

This is the 3rd or 4th time we have visited the Hotel du Centre over the years. Downstairs very much refurbished and looking very smart with new bar and garden design. Car park is secure and has an EV charger, a good amenity. 2nd floor bedroom, "cosy room with shower" was small, shower room a bit tired, but comfy bed. Restaurant is charming, staff helpful and food good (though we had to send back a barely cooked portion of salmon). Good wine list (at a price).
