Beautiful hotel. Close to Old Town Arvada. Within walking distance. Very nice clean surrounding area. Rooms are clean, modern & quiet. (Except for the room across the hall w/ young kids) The breakfast was fine but a little pricy. We paid for ours w/ our room rate. Staff was very friendly & courteous.
This was a last minute choice at a hotel chain we don't usually use. Sayin that the rooms were clean and well maintained, the bed and pillows were comfortable and it appeared that they had done recent maintenance on the room. Now for the problems most which were not of their creation. the room was a little small and I would not recommend it for a person who is claustrophobic. I was also disappointed that it did not have a fridge or microwave. All in all it was a good, quiet, clean room.
Checked reviews here before booking and seemed mostly positive so I gave it a shot. We were on a short vacation to the Denver area and wanted a place in a good location with easy highway access. That's where the positives ended. Check in - arrived at a time when there were 2 agents at the front desk. One was on the phone, the other was alone, staring at a computer. The one staring at a computer ignored us, so we waited for the woman to get off the phone. After that, check in was quick and painless. Arrived at room to find it reeked of cigarettes. I recall other reviewers who said the same so I figured switching rooms was pointless and waste of time. The windows opened so we kept the windows open the duration of the trip and that helped a ton. The pool was full of green water and closed. The area does not seem the safest. Upon entering the hotel, there's a sign saying this hotel is part of an local hotel group fighting crime at their properties. That's a new one and says a lot about what goes on in that area. Check out was the best part - had an early flight so we checked out at 4AM. Upon arriving to the lobby, we found the front desk agent sleeping - head down on the desk with a pillow. Was just going to leave the room keys next to his head but he suddenly woke up. He did not say a single word to us, no apology for sleeping on the job, no thank you for staying with us - instead he seemed rude and annoyed that the sound of our luggage rolling through the lobby woke him. Especially alarming is there was a homeless setup directly across the street at that time and, with the front desk agent sleeping, anyone could just walk into the hotel and have free reign. That's quite scary. Stay at your own risk.
I have stayed with Choice and a Gold member, have to say this is the worst stay in some time. I had to check in late that night around 1am due to working late at my hospital. I was given room 113, do not recommend this room, first room on right first floor. I had 2 bed that BOTH had someone else black hair and dirt between the sheets and comforter, they just made it and no sheet change. I had chunks in the tub and dirt on the floor made my feet black. I went to the front desk right away 10-14-2023(1:10 am) and showed pictures, what was happening, and the night front desk guy said he would tell his manager tomorrow and said nothing else. He did not offer me another room, so I thought they were sold out, they were not come to find out. So, I slept in my pajamas on a naked bed for $180.00. The next morning, I talked to the front desk gentleman and found that I should have been moved to a new room or to another hotel, he was shocked to my treatments... I was not happy with this inconsideration of a person from the night before. The day gentleman offered me a return of my money for the next night I had booked, and a discount for what happened, I was happy with this and leaving too!! I booked in Broomfield Comfort Suites for this next night. I went back to the room and then decided to look under the bed.... yeah, dust bunnies, papers, and dirt, been over 6 months since cleaned... you can tell with the amount that was under sink, nightstand, chair also. This is embarrassing for Choice Hotels chain and people should be accountable for cleanliness. I say EVERYONE ROMOVE SHEETS FROM THE BED and place on floor with dirty towels. They need to be forced to change sheets. If you do not do this lazy staff will just fix for the next person.... and the next and the next... sad but true these days... I am Currently checked in to Choice Comfort Suites off of Destination way and HWY 36, Broomfield I'm happy to call this a true choice hotel experience!!
