Super 8 by Wyndham Athens

There was supposed to be breakfast but there were just granola bars. Everything else was fine.

Breakfast was horrendous and there were no coffee makers in the room. Had to request a second room as the pedestal on the TV was completely broken in the first one. Pillows were great but the beds were the hardest I've ever slept in. Shower spigot was broken and loose. Highly doubt that I'd stay there again, ever. ☹

We had a 1 night stay. Everything in this hotel was crisp and clean. The staff was friendly. Very quiet stay. We travel this route quite often and we will be staying here again. (The only con was that there is road construction going on, and the entrance road to get to the hotel was hard to see , as it was in the evening, and there were no entrance markings that were visible. )

Athens Super 8 is a no frills, good value option when I visit my son at Ohio University. I've paid more at other hotels, but no need to when Super 8 is clean and safe. This is a good place to cut costs.

The staff was very friendly. The building is old and needs updating and repairs. Room had an odor of old urine. They are trying to update it but it needs more work.

Room lights not all working. Tub faucet not working. No coffee maker in room. Continental "breakfast" pathetic, offering only juice, coffee, muffins, donuts and candy bar...no milk cereal toast fruit yogurt or anything warm.

The owner was very rude. It was very dirty. The smoke detector was hanging off the ceiling. I expect a bit more when paying $250.00 per night.

No one at the desk on multiple visits, limited towels, washcloths, and Cups. Tried going to desk several time for cups no one ever there. Breakfast house 6-9 on weekends sign limiting one item per person. Menu was cheap tiny granola bar, over ripe bananas, yogurt. NO LIQUID CREAM for coffee.

The motel was clean and quiet. My only disappointed were the breakfast was a joke. Breakfast was a couple of muffins and a donut with coffee. Very disappointed on breakfast.
