ロッジ ボルドー(Lodge Bordeaux)

This motel is outstanding, far superior to any other in Whangarei. This was our second visit here and we have booked to return next year. The standard of cleanliness is more than you may expect but it is the extra luxuries we enjoyed. The spa bath, the underfloor heating, the dishwasher, the heated towel rail, and the extensive entertainment system. All the comforts of home. Welcoming hosts complete the picture. We took a 1 bedroom apartment which was quiet and set well back from the road. I cannot recommend this establishment more highly. Go there for comfort on every level.

This is our place to stay when we go to Whangarei. Absolutely top notch, clean and everything you need. Owners are great, friendly and nothing too much trouble… Beds comfy, bathrobes…everything is there. Great supply of tea, coffee and drinking chocolate. Linen is crisp and great quality…what’s not to like about this place…

My wife and I have been traveling around New Zealand for a month. Lodge Bordeaux has easily been the most pleasant place we've stayed. They've really thought of everything! And the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was delicious, too!

David and Stephanie were absolutely delightful hosts. The unit was modern, extra clean and fully equipped. Attention to detail was foremost. They even had electric bikes to rent - we had a blast!! We will definitely be back our next time in New Zealand ❤️

Arrived after 30+ hours travelling and the power shower was most welcome. Spacious room, well appointed. Friendly and helpful proprietors. Within 1 mile walking distance of the town basin for eateries. Would highly recommend. Good base for exploring the area.

We stayed for two nights over New Year, having travelled from the UK. The rooms were spotless and so well equipped; toiletries, tea and coffee, bath robes. The room was spacious and the en suite comes with a spa bath. The owners were so attentuve, friendly and welcoming. As were their adorable pets! Designated parking and a small pool. Loved our stay.

What a beautiful place to stay! Very clean, cozy and spacious. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Great location and friendly staff. Nice, heated pool and a lovely pool area. Our family of four loved it!

Superb all around. The accommodations and amenities, the location, very walkable, and Stephanie’s breakfast should not be missed. We stayed for 7 nights and chose the room with a balcony. Fabulous to have the outdoor space. In addition, the room itself very bright and cheerful. The kitchen was well equipped with teas and coffee, also a mini bar menu if you need a quick bite. The owners were friendly as could be. Including the resident dogs and cats. They are available with any advice as needed. Also a great selection of DVDs and games to borrow. The beds are very comfortable, amenities in the bathroom are great as well.
