ホテル ドゥ ビアンクール(Hotel de Biencourt)

This is the best place to stay. My family and I will only stay in this hotel. The owners are wonderful. Also, you must try the Restaurant Les Grottes it is simply delicious.

Very nice stay in hotel Biencourt, l'accueil est très chaleureux et avec un grand sens du service, les chambres confortables et l'emplacement à 2 pas du château! Le petit déjeuner est très bon avec des produits frais et locaux.

The hotel is delightful - the owners very welcoming - the rooms very pretty and the car parking very secure. It is in a perfect spot in the centre of the very attractive Azay-le Rideau with lots of good restaurants within a short walking distance.

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a cycling tour. This was by far the best hotel. The location is perfect for the two nearby chateaux. Do not miss Chateau Islette which is out of town. Peaceful ambience, tastefully decorated, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. The hotel closes between 2 - 3pm. Thomas the manager speaks impeccable English and is so kind and helpful.

Great hotel situated on the sight of a former school and is split between two buildings with a courtyard between, where one can have a drink and relax. The staff were very friendly and really helpful with nothing seeming to be too much trouble. Breakfast offered a varied choice with plenty of options.

There are so many excellent reviews on here that I don’t need to repeat all the previous comments other than to say that Thomas and Léa are the most welcoming and considerate hosts and that the Hotel is a perfect example of the classic 3 star family run hotel. We stayed for 2 weeks as a base for exploring the Loire and I would highly recommend this hotel for a visit if only for one night.

A small cosy hotel, with an interesting character and history, and a very welcoming and helpful staff. Location is excellent, surrounded by plenty food options and the Chateau entrance is a short walk away. Had a good breakfast which can be enjoyed inside or outside in the courtyard. Rooms a good size and standard. Stayed two memorable nights, not consecutively.

An absolutely outstanding hotel in a beautiful location. Everything in the hotel is modern and clean, but the old fashioned charm of the old school building it occupies has been very well maintained. Azay le Rideau is a picture postcard town with a beautiful chateau and the hotel is right in the centre. Incredibly friendly and knowledgable staff and nothing is too much trouble. Outstanding value for money - cannot recommend highly enough.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. As we arrived on a busy Saturday, they phoned round recommended local restaurants on our behalf to make sure we could get dinner booked for that evening. We parked in their secure garage round the corner, there was no intercom so you need to check in at the hotel first to get a card then park (very short parking time in street). The hotel comprises historic buildings and pretty courtyard garden, we were in the old schoolhouse across the courtyard, on the first floor. The room was comfortable and shower room good. Tea/coffee-making facilities would have been nice, but there are lots of cafes and restaurants very close by. A very convenient location -it is situated literally a few yards from the entrance of the Chateau Azay-le-Rideau. We went there as soon as it opened in the morning and before it got busy. Breakfast was very good, nice local and organic produce.
