A grand older style hotel in an excellent location with some good facilities. However there was only one accessible power point in my room and the coffee machine had to be put on the floor to plug in. The air conditioning in my room did not function even after reporting it to reception. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. The ppol large and very clean if a little cool. A lack of insformation about the facilities in English.

Shabby chic plunges to a new low. We had room 158 the furniture needed sanding and re varnishing, the standard lamp shade was hanging off, no air con, no robes so we could go for a swim in their pool with a very slippery surround. The sauna and steam room were fine, no tea or coffe making in the room Breakfast was good and the public areas rather grand. Staying in hotels pretty regularly this place needs a refurb and totally overpriced

Well maintained, "grand style" hotel. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Convenient (walkable) to numerous restaurants.

Graded as a 4.5 star, and I'd say it's mostly worth the rating. I had the suite (top floor). Ample space. Parking in basement (14 Euro per day). Up to date. Restaurant was decent. My only complaint? Bar is not open 7 nights a week (presently 4 nights). Walk to the '*****'? About 8 minutes. Plenty of restaurants/bars. Very safe area around the hotel. Would strongly recommend it.

Lovely hotel, food is excellent. Room has a lot of wardrobe space. Carpet is outdated and not hygienic (allergies). There is no airconditioning so the rooms get very warm which makes it difficult to sleep. Most of the younger staff member doen't even speak basic English. We hardly got a welcome at the reception desk. The young lady just checked us in without further explanation and her English was very weak. No explanation about the hotel facilities etc and we had to insist to become a guest card for the bus and museums. This is not acceptable. Restaurant staff poor knowledge of English as well. Bathrooms need an update, the bath is small and you slip while taking a shower. It is also very high to get in and out. A walk in shower would be better. Need to give more attention to the maintenance of the bathroom/room. We had cracks in our sink, and shower siliciones came off. One cupboard door wasn't fixed properly. Great pool, sauna and hammam, lovely garden with seats. Conclusion: we had a lovely stay. More attention for details and maintenance is needed. Staff should speak Engish and be more friendly and welcoming.

The Maritim Hotel is a beautiful hotel with a sense of luxury and elegance. My wife and I enjoyed our stay very much. The dining was great and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We will be back.
