We booked this hotel for 2 night through the hotel website . We got a email from the hotel to confirm our reservations and they charged our credit card with full of amount but after 2 days we got another email saying that hotel has cancelled our booking and they didn’t explain to us why I have send them several emails demanding to know how can they cancel a booking also I called the reservation disk the said we are looking to the hotel system we will let you know but no reply no response after sending several email They refund bake my money .it was hard for me to get any explanation I can only assume it would not be pleasant.

I stayed here for three nights while on business in nearby Rastatt. My wife joined me too for this trip. We found the hotel excellent in all respects. For starters the hotel is very central i.e., 150m from the main streets, and bus depot. The train station requires a bus to get to. The staff were most helpful. The hotel is family run, so it is not an impersonal business hotel. The breakfast had enough items for us plant-based (vegan) diet followers. The bedroom was big enough for two and had all one could need. There is parking too at a daily rate. It doesn't have a gym, so bring your running gear only and run along up and down both sides of the river as a picturesque alternative.

Great hotel in the center of Baden-Baden. We really enjoyed our stay there. Everything is great and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was the best during our entire trip and the restaurant was also very good. We can heartily recommend the Hotel Merkur.

I have stayed at the Merkur a number of times. It is well priced and quiet. Breakfast is excellent. Close to buses, the Christmas Market and public baths. I recommend to anyone looking for a central hotel in the town.

A real gem in a wonderful city. We stayed in the two bedroom suite at Hotel Merkur and it was amazing. The suite offers you two bedrooms, a very spacious living room with dining table and a very spacious bathroom with a fantastic view over Baden-Baden. The staff and breakfast were also great. The hotel is much better than you can expect from a hotel of this category.

So, the hotel was unable to reserve / confirm my reservation for the weekend even though I received a reservation number from *******. The Hotel Merkur booked me a room at another hotel across town. So, I had to travel into the city center on foot with luggage. The hotel did not provide a map just the name of the other lodging establishment. There was no elevator in the other lodging accommodation, so I had to climb stairs to the three floor with luggage in tow. I suppose the only good outcome from the whole experience was I exercised all weekend climbing stairs with poor knees. I’ve stayed at other hotels in Baden Baden before and most have elevators to accommodate older guests. This was my first time booking a room at the Hotel Merkur. I think I will choose other accommodation in the future. Just because ******* states your reservation is confirmed, the reality is one does not truly know until they arrive at the hotel.

Great location to enjoy the town. The price was reasonable, the rooms was nice, the wifi fast and the staff was very accomadating. I will definitely stay here again at my next trip to Baden-Baden. They best most attentive breakfast staff that I have experienced in an breakfast inclusive hotel. They make many things themselves and offer barista coffee by the cup made to order as well as eggs and omelets.

Not so big, family run hotel, very centrally located in Baden-Baden. The staff was very helpful with lots of information and always friendly. Breakfast was delicious and served by staff with a smile on their face. The parking lot was not exactly cheap at 18 euros per night, but ok for the location in the historic part of the city. We had a very pleasant stay and can only recommend the Hotel Merkur

What a wonderful family run hotel in a magical place. The hotel Merkur ist perfect located in the heart of Baden-Baden in the black forest of Germany. The staff is more than friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic with fresh mad eggs and the best Latte Macchiato. We like the hotel very much and hope to be able to come back one day to Baden-Baden and to stay at the hotel Merkur, where you feel like at home.
