I’d like to highlight the exceptional service we received from the moment we checked in n out. kudos to Udesh, the FnB manager well experienced in handling the guests n catering to the exact needs. Staff were very courteous attentive n respectful. it was our first time at W15 weligama n we were delighted n will definitely return on our trip.
This was a very odd hotel that in reality looks a lot more ragged vs the pictures posted here. The smell of mildew is strong in many parts of the hotel, especially the reception office. The rooms are awkwardly furnished, with loud AC units that run 24/7 struggling to cool your room. There are a number of dogs on site, and while friendly have a tendency to go crazy and bark very loudly at night when people enter the hotel. I was there during off season for 2 nights. The Friday night had a nearby club with booming music until well after midnight disturbing sleep. Very few people at the hotel, and the beach was deserted. I'd rate the beach average. It does tend to have some garbage on it, with only limited chairs/loungers available. On the plus side, the breakfast was very hearty and filling and the internet worked well. The staff was happy to exchange money and do laundry for you. But not sure this place has totally recovered from the tsunami in 2004. I would not use this place again given the choice.
