Sunrise arranged airport transfer. Reception staff were friendly. Good view. Not far from ubud (uphill).
Bad points
Checkin office closed upon arrival & taximan had to contact the host to ask about room info (wiFi password/facilities).
When we wanted to shower, we had no hot water as the gas cannister that fed the boiler was empty. We had no contact details for the host so had to call the taximan for help.
Room was very loud, we heard EVERYTHING from other guests. Also the air-con units were located next to our room, so if other guests had their air-con on, it was loud.
outdoor bathroom often had bugs/cockroaches and smelled of drains.
On arrival our towels smelled damp (and were not changed during our 6 night stay) & the soap dispenser & toilet paper ran out & were not replenished.
Our room had a kitchen, including a stove & cutlery. There was no pan/kettle to put on the stove so this was redundant. There were bugs in the water dispenser.
A daily breakfast was delivered to the room, which was nice. The actual timings of delivery Vs requested time vary by 60-30 mins & food might be cold.
Wifi only worked on the patio.
There weren't always staff around, but lots of random people knew where we were. Example: the airport taximan suggested an excursion. We paid the guide the agreed price but after dropping us off he came to our villa room to ask for more money which was intimidating & we weren't sure how he knew which room we were in. It felt unsafe
