Ibis Styles Angouleme Nord

Very convenient for motorway travel. Nice clean hotel, lovely lady on reception, spoke perfect english as she had lived in america. Will stay again now we have found it. Very hand for the Au Bureau restaurant, just a short walk away.

Stayed here for one night in August 2022 to break up my drive from Toulouse to Nantes and picked this hotel as it was available and I had not stayed at an Ibis Styles property before and wanted to see the difference. The hotel is located on the very outskirts of the city of Angouleme at the motorway exit. My room 320 was spacious and nicely furnished with some colourful artwork featuring cartoon characters which the city is apparently the centre of French animation. Breakfast was included but was a little on the sp**** side compared with some other similar hotels. A step above a regular Ibis hotel but not sure if it is worth it for a one night stay.

We were very disappointed with the condition of the corridors and room. There was a particularly unpleasant smell in both. The staff were pleasant and checked us in efficiently . We went for breakfast about 7:30 but it looked as if it had been well picked over and croissant and other things had not been refilled. The restaurant was closed and we were directed to an independent eatery across the car park. I had the worst steak ever and although I pointed out to the staff that it was very fatty, I did not even get an apology. We will not stay here again

We were given a Disabled room on ground floor. The room itself was very tired and needed updating. The bedside reading lamps did not work and the carpet needs replacing. The shower was terrible. The door would not open completely as it was scraping on the floor. The shower fitting was broken so it was necessary to hold the shower head when showering. It was a wet room and when the floor got wet it was very slippery and dangerous. The breakfast was very poor. The orange juice maker was broken and the selection of food was very poor not up to the normal standard of Ibis Styles. We were glad to leave.

On our way back we stopped in Champniers for a night in the Ibis Styles. Good location and very friendly staff and a good service. Also the breakfast was ok. We had a very good sleep and a very calm night. We will return at this location.

The welcome and the service are excellent. The rooms are well organized. The menu of the restaurant is various and the fdood is gook. Thanks to the chief ! The breakfast is also good. I recommand this hotel.

Hotel correct pour une soirée-étape à Angoulême. Ample parking à l'éxterieur, avec des bornes de recharge pour voiture électrique (lentes, mais aussi rapide - Tesla-). Situé à proximité des autoroutes, notamment de la N-10 et à 10-15 minutes en voiture du centre d'Angoulême. Très sympathique la décoration des chambres et des parties communes, sur la thematique "voyage dans la nationale".
