Ok. First off I don't know how anyone could give Marcos and Magdelina anything but 5 stars. They are both fluent in Spanish, English and several other languages which made everything very easy. When I wanted to practice on my Spanish Marcos would speak with me in Spanish and when I wanted to speak in English we spoke in English. If you read the other reviews, some people were confused about where they were and reviewed this place in error. I was traveling solo in the Dominican Republic as a single woman and I was slightly worried before arriving, but the second I walked into the garden late at night to check in - all my fears melted away. The family was sitting having a casual conversation with guests and the kids were playing on the ping pong table. They welcomed me like family. The most gracious couple I have ever met. In addition to being met by Marcos and Magdalena I was also met by a friendly dog which made this feel even more like home. As far as my room went, everything was clean, very spacious, had air conditioning in the bedroom, a mini fridge and some snacks and drinks in the minibar. I settled in immediately. I also ate dinner there every night because the food was so amazing! They have four different menus to choose from, including Dominican food, Caribbean and even Polish food. All of which was absolutely delicious. The service was incredible and it was a true experience that I will never forget. I even got to play air hockey with the kiddos! I almost don't want to write this review because I'm afraid I won't be able to get a reservation when I return next year! Now let's address the fact that this is not an all-inclusive resort. This is a small bed and breakfast that is run by a family. They have a recycle mentality and everything they had is reused and repurposed and I love that vibe. If you are one that wants fancy and luxury or no culture, this probably isn't the place for you. If you're a solo traveler that wants to feel like you're part of a family 1000% recommend. I will return to see them many many times. ♥️

MMIKHAIL79The resort is located on a beautiful beach. I really liked the Italian restaurant. It was a wonderful vacation. I will definitely return to this resort.
ゲゲストThe hotel is big, spacious and beautiful. The property and rooms are well kept with daily prompt room service. The staff are friendly and accommodating even with limited Spanish I could get around and get by very easily. They have very good customer service and has a good supply of fresh foods daily for most part. The buffet selections were good and I love the fresh squeezed juices they provided daily and the local fruit selections. There are plenty options for lounging and relaxation on the beach and in the lobby. Everyone greats you with a genuine smile. We loved our stay, we know no where is perfect so Vista Sol you definitely outdid our expectations and we will not only return but recommend your lovely resort. There are a few hiccups I would like to highlight- 1 no iron in the room, no laundry bag you have to ask for it. No wash rags only towels and toiletries, no wifi in room only around the resort which fluctuates from fast speed to none existent. The drink selections are limited and fish bones in the salad. These are fixable things and did not detract from my experience not one bit. I would return today if I could because the staff and other amenities made the stay an enjoyable experience. We loved our waitress Bether who was always smiling and accommodating she even remembered my order from the previous day and that was very good seeing she has many people who she attends to each day. Mike from the lobby bar was also amazing and my spouse who doesn't speak any Spanish felt comfortable ordering his drinks and chilling at the bar. Our front desk agent who was most helpful was Junior he spoke English well and assisted us with a genuine smile. Mr Ferrin the bell man was very resourceful and very helpful, he went above and beyond to get us our ride to the airport. Thank you sir we appreciate you. Gracias Señor Ferrin estas magnifico. Mr Marino from front desk was also very cordial. We loved our stay and will definitely add it to our vlogs of recommended places to stay in Punta Cana.
ゲゲストIt's a mix of culture, wealth, and struggle. Wouldn't dare to go there without a local guide. If you do get one as perfect as we had, it's a great experience. The water was beautiful and warm with soft, leveled, shallow bottom. Some friendly locals, some only behave because law enforcement in civilian clothes are very much present. Music doesn't stop, and aroma of freshly fried fish fill the air. The vibe was everything here. However, narrow streets with few local road blocks is the only way to get here. Finding a parking spot is a challenge and not a cheap one (by local standards). There are many vacation rentals within walking distance, but I'm not confident in the safety of such a walk. Point of the story, have a local guide - many transportation companies offer this service. Do your research, be safe and enjoy!
Great spot for the well travelled. Very basic accommodations across the street from the beach in an old establishment with large rooms (some with kitchenets), very nice pool in a lush tropical garden. Very clean and well maintained. For approx $50/night with full breakfast included, this is a real steal in Punta Cana. The adjoining restaurant offers a full menu and the best spaghetti bolognaise we've had in a long time ($10). Many other nearby restaurants as well. First room we had had issues with the toilet and AC but was promply replaced. Suggested improvements... A smile costs nothing and can make a world of difference in the perception of service levels. Also glasses in the rooms would be an inexpensive bonus.
