The hotel staff was amazing and very accommodating! The hotel is located within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. This is the perfect place to stay when visiting and taking tours in the area. We will definitely be returning here!

One of the finest hotels I've ever stayed at. Of course they have all the amenities and room quality, comfort, etc, you'd expect of a 5-Star hotel, but the staff really made the difference. From the reception, concierge, housekeeping, and bar staff, everyone was exceptional. Welcoming, knowledgeable, efficient, and complete service. Spot-on restaurant recommendations and reservations, shop recommendations, never had to worry. Impeccable bar service and Calvados tastings, well worth the visit!

My family (wife, two teenagers aged 13 and 14) and I had a delightful three-night stay at Villa Lara. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful in both the lead up to and during our stay. Whether it was help with restaurant recommendations, answering travel questions, repatriating a lost stuffed animal after we left (the monkey is home!), or just chatting in the bar area, everyone was so warm and accommodating. Thanks to Laetitia, Quentin, Laura, and the entire team. The rooms themselves are well appointed, and the complimentary in-room beverages (sodas, Perrier, etc.) made our stay that much easier and enjoyable. Parking is on premises in a private lot behind a gate. Everything in Bayeux (cathedral, tapestry, main streets) is a quick walk from the hotel. The breakfast is expensive but well worth it. I’d. suggest trying it for at least one morning as it features lots of local cheese, jams, meats, breads, and pastries. After landing at CDG on a redeye and then driving three hours to Bayeux, Villa Lara was a great place to start our France adventure. Thanks for making us feel so at home!

We stayed four nights and used Villa Lara as a base for exploring the World War II beaches and Mont. St. Michel. The location was ideal, the staff was exceptional, especially Muriel (it was her first week and she aced it!), and the room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very good, and the kitchen staff made us sandwiches for a day trip. I highly recommend this hotel.

I have to get back! We came to Paris + Bayeux for my 50th birthday. This hotel was perfect for our time in Normandie. Location was amazing, room was excellent but the staff is the true standout. Every single person was so lovely, kind & helpful. We were only here for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for a perfect trip!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. This location and hotel turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. All the staff and owner are wonderful. My husband travels the world for business and stays in top hotels all the time…..and he LOVED Villa Lara. Would come back to the area just to stay here.

This is a beautiful place to stay in Bayeux. It is within walking distance to historical venues as well as lots of shopping and dining. The staff is SO HELPFUL, cheerful and kind. They really want you to have a great time! Our accommodations included a separate room connected to ours for our teenager. (Great for her and great for us too.) The rooms were gorgeous as well as clean and neat. I would highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at the Villa Lara. The room was so comfortable, tastefully decorated and had everything we could want. Every member of the staff was so helpful and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was excellent. I would go back in a heartbeat.

The hotel is quaint, with historical charm, while at the same time provides the amenities, food and service of the best boutique luxury hotels. Excellent location in walking distance of many excellent local restaurants and shops and the remarkable local historical sites.
