Arrived mid afternoon Saturday and received a friendly welcome. The room we booked was clean and tidy. The building is beautiful with a nice garden surrounded by large old trees like a real park. Behind the castle a small but heated pool. Breakfast can be bought. We didn’t test it. The bat is rather small and could be done more about. No dinner can be bought which would be a nice thing. We though tried a big plate of cheese , sausage and pate all of great taste. This together win a bottle of wine was our Sunday evening dinner in the garden. Certainly a place we will revisit.

Wonderful breakfast and bar facilities in the castle itself. The castle, big garden, pool and rooms are in one word wonderful. Perfect location to start your discovery of beautiful Beaune. We even prolonged our stay and will definitely come back.

A charming boutique hôtel magnifically run by Vanessa and Thomas, a couple of seasoned international hotel managers. The little castle and its outbuildings are perfectly renovated and maintained. Just the perfect spot to set up for a week of trips out to discover the burgundy region around Beaune. Comfortable, quiet, restful stay

Great location, beatiful environment and lovely staff! Room was comfortable although the bed somewhat soft. But that is personal taste! We will come back

My husband and I had a lovely stay at this hotel. Our room was one with a jetted tub, which was fabulous. We had a sitting room and a bedroom, which was spacious and tastefully decorated with antiques. Totally worth the upgrade. Hotel Challenges was the perfect home base for exploring Burgundy. You will need a car, as the hotel is a mile outside Beaune. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The first day they gave us maps and suggested restaurants in the area. Breakfast was great, lots of choices. We used the pool once and found it crowded, but it was clean and well-maintained. The best thing about this hotel was the resident tabby cat. Very regal and happy to be petted.

This is a hotel privately owned and the owner is there to make sure you are welcomed. Rosemary in reception is also a real asset. Physically this is a great property - nice big rooms, terrific pool. The warmest of places to stay.
