オーベルジュ ゴッドフロア(Auberge Godefroy)

We came up from the states to ice skate and found this amazing hotel to stay in. It was perfect for what we needed.

We spent one night here on a trip from Baie St Paul back to Vermont. The pool area was our main reason for choosing this hotel. It was very nice. There is a large indoor pool plus spa and an outdoor pool plus a hot water pool and a hotter hot tub. Lots of nice lounge chairs and umbrellas, too. The room, however, was average. It was very humid in the room and the lighting was absolutely awful. There were two tiny lamps and that was it. The pool towels that the hotel gives stayed extremely wet overnight due to the humidity. There did not seem to be a way to exchange them for dry towels so we were stuck using the wet towels the next morning. Our terrace dinner was cancelled due to a short rain shower. It was disappointing because it had not rained all day except for this brief shower. They moved everyone into the Bar Balzac. The food was good, though.

An ok hotel that could use a update. The hallways are equal to a sauna - not sure why there is no A/C in hallways. Walls are very thin. We had a wedding party next door and the couple’s child did « Riverdance » on the Headboard the 1st night until 11:00pm. The second night, the kid was more or less quiet but the couple had a LOUD argument. However, the staff are helpful and friendly. That being said dirty dishes from room derive were left out quite long and the ice machine was filthy with dirty cups left on it’s ledge.

Pretty place and rooms were lovely and clean. The dinner at the restaurant was delicious.

We were at this hotel for an annual meeting amongst friends, three couples. Every year we change places. This was our best experience in 8 years. The comfort of the spacious rooms, the layout of the premises, indoors and out is relaxing and inviting. The food was exquisite. Our only regret was. Not staying an extra night to enjoy the spa and pools. We highly recommend and will be going back.

Nice 4-star hotel with adjoining golf course during the summer. Nice interior and exterior heated pools all year round! Two restaurants. And a spa center. Rooms are modern and clean with a small fridge in every room. Nearby trail in nature center. If you want to do other activities, you can take the highway to go to nearby mid size city of Trois-Rivières on the other side of the river through Laviolette bridge. You can do wedding banquets and small conventions. A hidden gem.

We got married on July 1st, 2022. My husband, myself and our guests all agree to say that L'Auberge Godefroy was the perfect place for the reception. Most of our guests stayed the night before and the night after the wedding at the Hotel. First of all, I can't stress enough the importance of a good wedding coordinator when you choose a hotel for your wedding. Your research ends at L'Auberge Godefroy, with Caroline Laflamme. She has been professional, kind, proactive, available, generous, flexible...Thank you Caroline, you made this possible! Second, from the check-in to the rooms, to the restaurant, to the spa, at l'Auberge Godefroy, excellence is a duty. Wow! Outstanding, beyond expectations...honestly! Third, in the 4-season Espace Aqua-Detente, the wedding guests could indulge in heated pools and hot tubs with sauna, relaxing and enjoying themselves before and after the wedding. Luxury bathrobes and towels offered by the hotel...we all loved this. Fourth, the restaurant is amazing. Amazing chef, mouth-watering dinners, fabulous brunch for the guests the morning after, allows a perfect ''Day After''; a good breakfast, followed by more Aqua-Detente for everyone, under the sun. Finally... that little je-ne-sais-quoi that made our wedding magical. Maybe in the perfectly comfortable mattresses, maybe in the waitresses' smile, maybe in the beauty of the floral arrangements outside, or in the late-night fire in the backyard with friends...we don't know. But one thing's for sure, we will never forget how kindly the staff treated our guests and us, and the sparkles in everyone's eyes. Very comfortable room and lovely gardens.

Too much queuing. Only one lift. Wait for tables were too long. Even check out was slow. Dining food was ambitious but it didn’t really work. Weird flavour combinations that were complex but not balanced. Even the poolside was crowded
