中心部にある美しいモダンなホテル(決して知ることはありませんが、騒音はありません)。プールエリアは素敵で、手入れが行き届いていて、とても寒かったです。私たち全員が素敵なスタッフ、特にレセプションの2人の若い男性(名前がわかりませんでした)は、エアコンに問題があったときに本当に役に立ちました。豊富な選択肢で素敵な朝食。プールを見下ろす部屋、それだけの価値があります。ビーチまで5分、ショップ(観光客向けではなく)やレストラン、バーでいっぱいのメインストリートの始まりまで1分。部屋はモダンできれいでした。一瞬でこのホテルをお勧めします、滞在するのに最適な場所とスタッフはそれへのクレジットです。

Though there are many things to recommend this hotel and location—fantastic design and décor, stunning views from a panoramic pool and patio area, charming and crystal-clear Aiguablava beach just a short walk down a path from the hotel—my husband and I regretted our choice to stay here on our short, 3-night trip to the Costa Brava at the end of the summer. This was a disappointing stay in several small and easily remedied ways that, together, seemed like the guest experience was an afterthought at Parador de Aiguablava. For context: my husband and I are well-traveled, late 30-something Americans who go to Europe 2-4 times per year for work and holiday and stay in a range of 2-5 star accommodations. Here are the ways in which things fell a bit short, in our opinion: 1) Arrival, check-in, and information-sharing: The strangeness started at arrival, when we drove up the windy hillside road to the isolated hotel and arrived to a small and cramped parking lot with no bellhop or valet. My husband dropped me and our luggage off and I waited in front of the hotel while he carefully weaved his way through the tight lot—there were other cars parked in inappropriate places, in the absence of someone there to help with parking—and then drove about a ¼ mile down the hill to park the car along the road and then hiked back up. What about guests with mobility issues? If this was mid-pandemic, I could understand staff shortages, but not at a 4-star hotel in 2023. At check in, we were given a quick overview of the hotel services by friendly, English-speaking staff, but found ourselves short on information for the rest of our stay. There was no printed information (in any language, nor a QR code/ website) about hotel services, policies, and amenities in the room. This caused small inconveniences; for example: We got ready for the beach shortly after arriving, but it took us 20 minutes to find the path down to the beach when it should have taken us 3. This was in part because we expected a path leading directly from the pool area would go down to the beach, but only after walking a bit we realized that it was a path to the cliffs and did not connect to the beach. It easily could have had signs. We then recalled the check-in staff mentioning the beach was on the lower level and noticed a beach symbol in the elevator, but once getting down to the lower level it took us a moment to figure out we had to cross the lower-level parking lot to find the trail. This was a small thing, but it could have been a seamless experience (rather than a scavenger hunt) with a few more signs or a little more in-room information. 2) Room condition: There were several minor maintenance/cleaning issues in the lovely room that seemed like they could have easily been fixed: mildewy tile, a broken toilet paper holder, beat-up paint in a number of places, and a rusted vanity stool. 3) Coffee: This was, by far, the thing that annoyed us the most because it so easily could be fixed. I’ll start by saying that I’m writing this review whilst still holidaying. We came as a family- a mother, 2 daughters (in 30’s) and 19 month grandchild. We’re all inclusive and we are not picky at all. When reading other reviews of hotels we typically roll our eyes and say ‘you can’t please everyone’ or ‘it’s what you make of it’ so please trust me when I explain this hotel. I’ll start with the positives- the setting is beautiful- pool is overlooking the sea. The food is nice enough, there’s always something to eat, mainly pizza, pasta, chips and salad. (Salad bar is lush) Breakfast is our favourite meal. (There’s cereal, continental, pastries, pancakes, fruit, yoghurt, bacons and eggs etc.) We found the beds comfy for all you only get one pillow, it’s decent. Martin, a waiter, FANTASTIC with the little one. Such a lovely man. He always greets us with a ‘hello love’. Meal times aren’t too bad either- Breakfast 8-10am Lunch 1-2:30pm and Dinner 7-10pm Thinks that’s about it really. It’s centrally located, we attempted to go for an evening meal twice. Everywhere is closed on a Tuesday (and some on Monday too) then places don’t open until 8pm, so with a little one, it’s no good. The hotel. Buckle in! There is a park when you first arrive, which is a death trap. There are little tree stumps sticking up, no bark or sand down, the steps up to the slides have huge gaps in them and the swing is on a wonk- it’s completely unusable. The beach- it’s not sand, it’s shingle, so sharp underfoot. The staff- the most rudest people we have ever met. It’s very much catered towards the French. When ordering a drink in the evening, I was at the bar, the waitress completely ignored me and served a paying Frenchman, after him, she served her colleague doing table service, couldn’t help myself at this point and I said ‘HOLA?!’ She looked at me in utter disgust and continued to serve her colleague. In Spain, you expect (rightly or wrongly) that the majority of people will speak English, basic, enough to get by, but not a word is spoken. I was heavily relying on my Spanish GCSE to get by. (2 male receptionists speak English and that’s it) I naturally really try abroad to understand the basics of their language but have always found English is widely spoken. It describes the hotel as family friendly- it’s not. There is a tiny pool which is full of leaves from the trees above- not well kept at all. The tiles on the floor are not the correct ones- it’s VERY slippy when wet. The pool is FREEZING. They have built in pool steps but no hand rail. No lifeguard either. We had a pushchair- getting down the ramp, it’s practically vertical with some grips missing. If you’re a wheelchair user, you wouldn’t be able to go down alone. Everything is on -1 floor, so a lot of steps involved. The lifts- there are 3 of them- lethal! They close when you’re getting in them, not allowing time at all, and the sensor must be knackered because they don’t open again. We found that

If there is one place that should be the standard for service and hospitality, this hotel is it. Absolutely incredible place, with incredible hospitality. I stayed 4 nights and really wished I could stay longer. Mario and Nadia treat you like family and take care of you every minute of your stay. The service, the homemade fresh delicious breakfasts, the location, and the rooms were all 10/10. Mario went above and beyond from the day I reserved until my last minutes to make sure I was happy and taken care of, checking in regularly. He was very responsive, and so so helpful for someone coming here for the first time. He suggested many amazing restaurants based on my dietary restrictions, and even helping to call and make reservations for me daily. Nadia is also a gem of this place, her smile, service and delicious food will make anyone want to come back. The rooftop has great views and is a great place to enjoy your coffee and relax. I will dream about this place until I’m able to come back again!

Hotel Eetu was really nice hotel area. Pool area it is beautiful including a pool bar also. Strawberry mojito was 5/5! Room view was amazing! Sea view! Restaurant have a nice menu every day. I love it! ❤️🇫🇮
