The resort is very nice, the location is perfect. However, when we first arrived the water wasn't working. It was then fixed but it looks a yellowy colour. Insect repellent doesnt seem to be working in the room ( its a plug in one) the lady sprayed the room on day one which worked but apparantly they have run out of it. We had an early start and the breakfast in the lounge was our only option, the bread/ croissant were roxk hard and dry. Other then that the usual breakfast is ok. I would recommend getting the edge water reservation for dinner the good is better then the Mercardo. We got half board but the catch is that ypu have to pay for drinks and water, which you obviously can't eat the food without, we came for are honeymoon and expected it to be included not having to pay extra for drinks. Lastly we found a waiter who was amazing and has sorted us out this trip, his name is Muzammal, he has literally made it amazing at the outrigger!

Check in by Krishna was very cold & not welcoming. Surprised that this individual is allowed to check guests in. Cold , no smile, rushed, unpleasant. I was not done finishing my welcome drink and he was in a rush to bring us to our room. Rod, front desk manager, nice & welcoming. Ensures guests are happy. Resort: older resort in need of renovation. Reminded me of cuban resorts. Old furniture, dated AC but blows nice cold air. Generous room space. Check out: unfortunately got krishna again while checking out. This gentlemen needs to quit his job. I was speaking in english and he continuously answered back in creole. I had to tell him if knows how to speak in english as my wife does not speak Creole. Bad bad service. Geraldine - good service, polite, welcoming.

Had the best time ever at Outrigger. Staff was superb, great, very very kind, lovely and so helpful. Love the food. Wow the food and drinks especially cocktails superb. Very nice hotel and will be back soon and I highly recommend this hotel. Outrigger is supposed to a luxury hotel but not value for money at all.There is a very bad service provided to customers.Staffs have a great lack hospitality, as they don’t really welcome the guests properly and they don’t have a gentle way of communication.There is bad customer assistance service.Quality of food not to the level. At breakfast time eggs are cooked in advanced and displayed.I asked for the chef to customized mine egg , but she did not listen to my order . The chairs at Marcado restaurant were dirty outside. Some plats and glasses are not properly cleaned. Thus I do not recommend Outrigger.

Beautiful resort with comfy rooms and great service. Good food and a great entertainment platter per day. Let it be an aqua gym or water sports activities or continental food or DJ nights and Sega Show. The resort cater them all. With a huge staff for service, they are amongst the best in the industry. I certainly recommend them to all. Great service by restaurant special thanks to Shagun and sheetal. Also to the person from the mechanical team who assisted in clearing the door lock malfunction happened due to weather. Great and memorable experience. Thankyou

The hotel is part of the Outrigger group. We stayed for ~10 nights. Pros: (1) location in the south of the Island is perfect for activities such as mountains, zip wire etc, (2) staff are friendly, (3) rooms are enormous Cons: (1) food in the buffet restaurant Marcono for dinner is bland, tasteless and at times inedible. The other 2 fine dining restaurants are fine, although with limited vegetarian options. (2) the staff are friendly but not trained to a 5-star standard. They often say 'no' to guests without trying to find a way to say 'yes'. This is not their fault but a fault with training by management. (3) the rooms are dated and sp****ly furnished. (4) it would have been preferable if some basic drinks are included in the half/full board package eg water, local beer or wine - but i understand that this is not usual in Mauritius. personally i suggest the management increase the price but include drinks. Overall, a nice stay. Somewhat irritated by the above. i would rate this a 4-star hotel not 5-star.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Check in yesterday and from the moment I arrived in company of my family, the experience has been fantastic. The hotel is located in a serene, remote area, away from madding crowd, providing a perfect retreat for those seeking peace and tranquility. The highlight of my stay was exceptional service provided by the staff, particularly Disksha, a waitress at the beach bar LE Bleu. Diksha's warm and friendly demeanor made each visit to LE Bleu a delight. She was attentive and went out of her way to ensure that my guests felt welcome and well taken care of. Her recommendations in drinks and snacks were spot on, and her genuine hospitality added a special touch to our stay.
