The hotel's history and design are magical, the rooms are comfortable, stylish, roomy, and quite. The staff is friendly, attentive, and proactive. On site gymnasium, rooftop hot tub, separate spa, multiple food and beverage outlets all together make this a great place to stay for business or a leisure trip.

We had an art deco style room which was gorgeous and huge. Staff were all lovely especially Roisin on reception and one of the housekeeping ladies who very promptly got us a sewing kit to repair my broken handbag strap. Food was lovely for both breakfast and dinner. A lovely experience for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary.

We had 2 Art Deco rooms from Friday March 29th until Monday April 1rst. We have stayed before and this visit will ensure we continue to return. Staff (as usual) were super friendly and courteous and went out of their way to assist. From the greeting at the Hotel front to checking out...the service and professionalism was excellent. We only stayed for one night but we were so impressed with every aspect of our stay. In fact, my partner commented that she felt it was the most luxurious hotel we’d ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly from the moment we arrived. The room was beautiful and very spacious. The breakfast was all table service and absolutely delicious. It’s the only hotel I’d stay in should I return to Belfast.

I just went to the restaurant absolutely beautiful art deco interiors. Lovely beautiful food, and top service. It really is a throwback to a time gone by. It's like stepping into that art deco era of the twenties It's also a listed historic building. Stunning on the outside too. But best inside yes.

The entire establishment was excellent, the great room, the cocktail bar, the cloth bar and all staff associated with the entire establishment are a credit to this business the friendly welcoming atmosphere is second to none the rooms are opulent and to be completely honest I have never had a better nights sleep in any establishment I have ever stayed in.

Amazing hotel with very friendly staff. The room was so clean and breakfast was fresh. Staff couldn't do enough for us and from the time we arrived to the time we left everything minute was so enjoyable. Highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to stay here again

My son paid for an overnight stay as an Anniversary gift for me and his dad in March. The room was dreadfully in need of a makeover. The carpet was soaking wet on one side of the bed and threadbare in places. I really expected better from the Merchant as it’s one of the top hotels in Belfast.

We went into the hotel bar after a long day out. Brought snacks and water straight away before placing drinks order. Very relaxed , excellent service. Beautiful surroundings. Made to feel very welcome, would definitely go back and have a meal next time.
