I have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past. Mostly on business trips. It was one of my favorite hotels out of many around the country. I stopped traveling to Billings about 4 years ago, so when I had the opportunity after all that time, I reserved the Northern. Unfortunately it has not faired well. Rooms are showing their age. Dirty, holes in the hallway walls, stains on the wallpaper, tears in lamp shades, etc. There is a parking garage next door which is convenient and supposed to be free to guests. The pass didn’t work and when I brought it up at checkout, the desk clerk said management was specific that employees were not to reimburse for the known problem. $15 a day, not a big deal, but it sealed the decision to stay somewhere else when in Billings. Sad to see, what used to be an amazing experience turned into a mismanaged property and we paid a premium to stay there.
