ゴールデナー ベルグ(Hotel Goldener Berg)

Snooty and unwelcoming. Completely at odds with every other place we have visited or dined in in the Arlberg. Food was overpriced (for Oberlech) and not all that great either. Wish we had gone elsewhere as it was a gloriously sunny winters day.

This hotel is an absolutely wonderful place to completely relax, recharge and refresh, and come out as new :-) The rooms are well designed and very comfortable, the staff is absolutely lovely and helpful and the location is unsurpassed. Not to mention the high quality yoga classes and massages, the exhilirating guided walks, the stylish spa and last but not least, the excellent kitchen. I could not have wished for more.

We have been coming to Goldener Berg for many years. This year again we were welcomed by very friendly and helpful staff. A big compliment how all of the people working in Goldener Berg make guests feel special and at home. A main reason to return!

We booked a table here for lunch and were so disappointed. We had to wait for 15 mins to be seated as the hostess seating the guests disappeared. Then our vegetable burger arrived which at €33 euros I was expecting something amazing! We couldn’t believe that inside the burger the veggie patty was only a slice of potato!!! Clearly the chef and the owners think that this is acceptable!!! My husband’s Wiener Schnitzel was also very average. When we complained to our waiter he said that everyone says the same, but it is never changed. Needless to say it was so awful and we will never be going back. There are so many other amazing places to eat on the slopes in Oberlech and Lech.

Just the most wonderful hotel, great food, location and hospitality. The staff are super helpful. We booked for a week but I wasn’t well so it was no hardship to stay behind and not head for the slopes. I luxuriated in the pool/spa area and found peace in the lounge area.

LOVED: The staff is amazing, so hospitable and the service is so personalized! Spa is fantastic, we especially loved sitting in the outside jacuzzi watching the snow come down (protected under a roof overhang:) with the strong therapeutic jets to ease your tired ski muscles. DIDN'T LOVE: The temperature in the hotel, especially in the rooms and in the Panorama Restaurant is way too HIGH; it must have been locked at 28 degrees!!! Made for a poor night’s sleep, unfortunately :( We had to keep the balcony door open just to have an icy draft of air coming in. Maybe it’s their floor heating as you can’t control the heat from the room (turning the radiators down didn’t affect it) They really need to do something about this problem. I really want to go back to this lovely hotel, because we loved everything else, but sadly probably won’t as we know we won’t get a good night’s sleep :((

Outstanding long weekend in beautiful hotel. Felt so cozy and close to nature. Staff super friendly. Very high quality food at dinner with outstanding view from terrace. Also enjoyed the wellness area very much, must be even nicer in winter.

Great location up in Oberlech, which is connected to the gondola into Lech via an underground tunnel network. The lift is also a short walk above ground and it is ski in / ski out. There is a lovely ambience about the place. It is relaxed and friendly. Not stuffy or too formal. Delicious breakfasts with attentive service. Large spa with indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam room and relaxation areas.

Great hotel on a special spot in the mountains, enjoyed a lovely skiing holiday with the family! Then there was the professional at the Spa in the hotel; During this winter sports I took a bad fall where it was not immediately clear to me whether I had torn a muscle or just strained it. Fortunately, I was able to visit Donovan at the Spa. With Donovan you are not only helped physically but you also experience mental peace, you immediately feel in good hands. I trusted his judgment and went skiing again the next day. Donovan's involvement, extra tips and attention even after the treatment is unusual but incredibly pleasant and warm, my vacation and mood were saved because of this. Basically I am not a spiritual person but with Donovan I immediately felt a connection. A very special person whom I hope to see again, without injury ;-)
