バンブダ・ボカスタウン - ホステル(Bambuda Bocas Town)

The best hostel I stayed at in Panama. Super modern and clean with excellent air con in the rooms and a lovely waterfront patio and bar area. The food I ordered wasn't very good (still frozen) and food and drinks highly expensive like everywhere in the area. Bocas itself is a dump and I thoroughly regret going. The only good thing I have to say about Bocas is the boat trips you can take to places that are beautiful and there is a pizza restaurant on the main drag that does the best pizza and also best chocolate cake I ever ate. Careful buying food in shops though, they don't gave air con, power often goes down for hours and there is an aroma of rotten food in shops and aroma of sewage throughout Bocas. Sewage goes in the seawater often directly so don't swim around Bocas.

Very nice hotel with very good food. Came back here to eat after check out. A nice hang out place.

During my trip I tried out 3 different Bambuda hostels (in dormitories each time). I waited until I'd done all 3 before writing this review. Here is my personal experience : The staff are kind and helpful. You can ask them for any information. Concerning the restaurant, everything I ate was really good, they have a wide choice of western and more local dishes, and concerning prices nothing shocked me compared with other restaurants across the islands, even if, of course, they can always find cheaper! The hotel is not in the heart of the city, but as the city is anything but huge, there's no problem there! (5 min walk maybe?). This probably makes it a quieter place. The place itself is quite nice. Out of the 3 Bambudas I think they had the best dorms. I was in a 9-bed dorm room with air con and a bathroom (2 showers and 2 toilets). Everything was very clean, the lockers were big enough to hold our bags and there were also plugs inside to safely recharge our devices. There was thick curtains for each bed, allowing complete privacy and undisturbed light. It's also a bit of a party place, and a very cool one at that, with performing artists in the evening! The rooms are far enough away that you can't hear a thing. Very nice place to stay in Bocas Town. For your information, the taxi boat rides offered by the hotel are quite expensive so I advise you to find another station in town!

Awesome place on the waters to spend great family time. Fantastic drinks and food, awesome company of fellow travelers. Francisca and Svea were great! Arulo was a great host and made our stay super fun!

Super clean hotel, nice view and the price ratio is great! There are also further activities to do (yoga etc.). Meals are also good and there are vegetarian options, if this is relevant. The stuff speaks english and if there are problems with the room they are extremely fast in helping out.

Hands down my favorite boutique hotel in Bocas del toro. Rooms were clean, food was good coffee was great and the staff was amazing. We genuinely enjoyed staying here which was just close enough to the noisy part of town but far enough so that you can sleep when you want to. Carlos the GM was there and you can tell he really cares about bringing value to the hotel. The only thing that was missed for me was a safe in the room which they said the are working on, and building a better set of steps to get out of the water. Well for sure be back!

Feels like a boutique hotel ☺️ nothing to complain about, would go there again!

I have been trying for two days to cancel a reservation here and they are purposing avoiding me. They will not take my calls, they ghost me on WhatsApp messages and Facebook messenger and have yet to respond to my emails. I would avoid this place at all cost.

I had a great stay and ended up extending for a couple of days. Very friendly in the reception and restaurant. Good food and conmen area with plenty of space to work from.
