Good hotel very close to gondola in Borovets centre. Great value and a wonderful breakfast (huge selection of cold and hot items). We stayed in a premium room ( worth the extra few pounds). Comfortable beds and nicely decorated. The spa was amazing, with food fires hot tubs and good steam room and two spas. Have stayed at the rila which was lovely, but this was less than half the price and was equally as lovely.

Due to unexpected engagements at work, one week in advance we tried to change dates and someone who rather sounded like mobster told us in very disrespectful way over the phone that we will probably loose our reservation fee. So, we changed business plans instead and finally came to Moura hotel. The experience in summary: rude staff, poor hygiene, terrible dinner. Stay away from this hotel if you are looking for lodging in Borovets.

At first glance, Hotel Moura seems decent, but it's a letdown once you're inside. The standard double rooms are tiny and not very nice, with basic mattresses that feel like they could fall apart. The staff are pretty rude and pushy. We had a situation where my daughter had a nosebleed, and they charged us a whopping 70 euros just to replace a basic bed sheet for a single bed. To top it off they tried to charge me extra for drinks I never had. It's pretty clear all they care about is extroting money from guests.

I go on holiday 4 or 5 times a year and this was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I am not one to write reviews. This is my first review of a hotel because I think it is important people should be warned. I am left in shock from the rudeness of the staff. The toilet door wouldn’t shut at all so the other 3 guests had to spectate as one used the toilet. I told staff every day and they shrugged their shoulders. Breakfast was ok but It’s like a hotel of the Karen’s diner except the staff aren’t actors/actresses. We booked half board but the food was TERRiBLE so we ate out every night. The WiFi didn’t work and it was dirty. To top it off when I was checking out they tried to charge me for a drink I didn’t purchase. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL Read the reviews from Moura mountain villas and spa too. They seem to have two pages on trip advisor. Maybe they set up a new one because the reviews are so bad on here. There are much better hotels to stay in Bovovets.

SNAP SHOT Hotel: Recently revamped and you can see it Staff: Mostly Friendly / helpful but reception staff need to do a course. One guy (baldly guy) that checked us in I think is in the wrong job because he seems to dislike guests or he does not care. Room: Very clean, fresh and plenty of room. Our room looks out to the forest. None really have a mountain view but that is fine. Bathroom: Modern, clean Grounds: Clean / Gardens well kept Bar: Small bar but lots of character, nice bar man as well Food: Breakfast had a good variation with vegan option available. One small stupid thing to moan about, there were no breakfast tea bags for days (bring some) but that's the only things I can give out about Facilities: Some of the best I have seen in Borovets. Hot tub area with bar service really really nice. Pool table, Gym, ski locker area. Distance: It only a 5 min walk to the gondola which is really handy if you plan to ski on that mountain. If you are skiing up at the other end of the town well its a little walk slightly up hill with your boots and skies but its not that far. It's easier coming back :-) . People moan about it but its really not that far. Would I go back?: Yes I would Date of stay: Jan 2024

Waiting for reimbursement of a cancelled réserv during the free cancellation period (a month has passed). No proper communication with the facility management - I was told - I have better things to do

Similar to others, the hotel is non-responsive to request for a refund for a reservations cancelled well before the cancellation period. They have failed to even acknowledge my e-mails. I had to dispute through Visa.

The owner of this hotel is a terrible guy. We could not speak to him in normal manner. He was aggressive and confrontational. We've heard only: take your luggage and go away. Is this man normal? I strongly disadvice.

This place is terrible!!! service staff is very rude ! And manager / owner is racists of greeks and threatened us . We arrived and had booked a deluxe suite apartment €721 for 3 nights and they gave our apartment away and wanted to give us a standard crap room that was €40 a night! They threatened us and and swore at us and said we wouldn’t get a penny back for the downgrade ! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Its a scam hotel ! We left and went to a different hotel , *********** relocated us ! Still waiting for my refund back .
