The primary bedroom has a king size bed, the second bedroom has a king size bed and can be used as a secondary primary bedroom as it also has its own private access to the covered porch. The third bedroom has a super comfortable king size bed plus there is a fold out couch in the living room for extra guests. Need less space or more beds? Check out our nearby Blue Heron Guesthouse, 2bd/1ba just 30 yards away, offering the same great amenities and serene surroundings. The Blue Heron and Green Heron can be rented individually or together for a larger gathering.If the weather is less than ideal, enjoy some sports or movies with YouTube TV and free wi-fi or play one of the many board or card games that are available. The kitchen is ideal with a dishwasher, microwave, oven, stove top and refrigerator as well as a full kitchen including pots, pans, blender and more. The dining room accommodates 8 and after a day on the lake come back to a spacious comfortable living room with fantastic water views or choose to grill and chill with the gas grill and covered outdoor dining area also with an awesome water view. The outdoor space is the key to the home and makes this the perfect lake retreat! If you want to fish or just watch the sunset, enjoy the shared long pier with a gazebo and floating dock to tie up your water toys. You don’t even have to find a boat launch, just use the one on the property to start your lake fun. If you just want to relax, enjoy the shared sandy beach with a swimming area or just lounge away soaking up the sun. If you just want to hang out in the shade and read a book or take a nap, jump into the hammock and just relax or sit at the covered picnic table and enjoy food and the lake views. The Blue Heron Guest House is our 2 bdr/1 ba 710 sq ft modern designed guest house that sits on our lake front property. Ideal for a family of up to 4 or 2 couples for a retreat. This guesthouse is close to everything, 30-35 minutes to Ft Benning/Columbus, Pine MTN/Calloway Gardens & Auburn/Opelika. Private Hot tub, fire pit and hammock. Free access to the shared boat ramp, multiple piers, beach area, chairs/loungers, kayaks, fishing gear and more. You just need your Alabama or Georgia fishing license. Only the specific guests noted in the booking are allowed on the premises without prior approval from the host. We have lovingly named our property The Heron’s Nest. On the property, we have the main house on the water in which we live. Additionally, there is a guesthouse (Blue Heron) and cottage (Green Heron) that are both Short-term Rentals that can be rented separately or together but are spaced out enough that you have your own space and privacy. Both places have their own individual fire pits, hammocks, patios and share the pier, beach, and boat ramp located in front of the main house. The boathouse on the water is for the owner's use only, please don't go on the boathouse. Additionally, the hosts live on the property and respects our guest's privacy, but we will be sure to say hi if we see you out and about in the shared areas.By making this reservation, you are accepting this liability waiver.
