Good location. Heart of the city center. Standard breakfast. Dated room decoration.

The hotel’s location is perfect. There are a few parking spots reserved for hotel guests on the street right across. The rooms are clean. HOWEVER: The room we stayed at was basic and the A/C was turned off. Maintenance immediately succeeded in turning it on but it wasn’t really providing cooler air - just noise. The furniture and settings in the room were functioning, yet old. Mixed feelings about this hotel. If location and cleanliness is what you seek, then you cannot go wrong in staying here. If modern rooms and functioning A/Cs are a must for you, then, perhaps not…

Nice hotel, simple rooms and bathrooms, but comfortable. Great breakfast with a good selection and good quality. Located in the heart of Braga. Friendly stuff. Good prices. Rooms need a bit of upgrading. Very nice breakfast room and outdoor area

This is in a great location. It is a ten to twenty-minute walk to Santa Barbara Gardens, the Braga Se Cathedral, the Roman baths, and many more sites. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent; they prepared a special dessert for us when we were visiting with some friends from the United States. It is within walking distance of many excellent restaurants, Thai, Portuguese, vegetarian, Indian, and barbecue to mention some. The hotel's service is the finishing touch to the experience. It is efficient, professional, and friendly. They accommodate any reasonable request quickly and with pride. This Hotel is a Great Stay

Great location, few staff you see friendly and helpful. Otherwise, I feel it’s expensive for what you get. Apart from televisions, rooms feel dated and bathrooms particularly not great. The shower over the bath wasn’t great and the bath itself had a plug missing. Breakfast is self-serve and the offer is pretty much the same daily and relatively basic at that. The WiFi appeared to work well, which I was grateful for and bedrooms were clean, if not sometimes too hot (with the air conditioning making little difference). I may return in the future because of the good, central location, but otherwise felt it was expensive.

Charming hotel, small, with a family run feel about it. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Only slight issue was that my room fridge did not appear to be working.

This was a 4 night stay to visit a school friend from 60 years ago who lives in Braga. Did a trip on the wine tasting tour, sail on the Douro Visited lots of bars and attended a Fardo night at Taverna Do Fado in Porto. ( Aquired taste but differant)

Amazing location, right on pedestrian street and close to all the monuments, many shops and restaurants. Easy walk to the bus stop to see Bom Jesus (20min bus ride). Nice breakfast included.

We have stayed at the Bracara Agusta twice and could not me more pleased. The location is terrific right on the park and a 5 minute walk along a pedestrian parkway to the city center. The location makes the rooms extremely quiet. The people are really friendly and helpful and the room was spacious and clean. I can't think of staying anywhere else on our next trip to Braga

The Bracara Augusta is a very pleasant hotel situated on the Praca de Republica, outside the buzz of the Old Town which is only a short walk away. Reception on arrival was excellent. The receptionist apologised that the had still not reopened their breakfast buffet but I actually preferred the waitress service in any case. The breakfast / dinging room is a fine double-height space with wonderful stone pillars and arches. Rooms are spread over three floors with lift. I would recommend the hotel for a great night's sleep in a good sized (twin bed) room. The bedrooms are arranged around the outside of a communal space and modern central staircase.

Centrally located with walking distance to most of the things.

To start on a positive note, the people we encountered were gracious. The location is good. That’s it. Worst bed we have slept on in a long, long time. Very hard. Room was a bit spartan. Early convent decor? Would most likely not return or recommend.

Very nice and quiet place. Clean and great location.
