During my stay there were frequent power cuts (a few times per day). The generator always takes a while to kick in. As a result I was stuck in a dark elevator for a few minutes. Overall it feels like the hotel is poorly managed and in a state of disrepair. When it rained, the ceiling near the window started dripping, even though my room was not on the top floor. They moved me to the other side of the building on a lower floor, only for the same thing to happen again with the next (mild) rainfall. Needless to say there was no proper apology and/ or effort to make this up to me. In the gym all the treadmills are broken. The service is very inconsistent and slow. It’s a shame because the place has potential, but it is in desperate need of better management.

The service is terrible and the hotel is really overpriced at more than US$200/ night. Despite confirming before departure they forgot to pick me up from the airport. When you order a club sandwich with room service it takes an hour to arrive. They charge USD 26 for the sandwich. At Paul, the best bakery in town 10 mins from the hotel, the food is much better and costs a third of the price. All four treadmills at the gym are broken. I don’t know how Radisson corporate doesn’t realize that this location is a liability for their brand. Unfortunately, business travelers in Brazzaville don’t have other options, otherwise the Radisson would go out of business.

I have been staying at the Radisson Blu in Brazzaville regularly since 2019. There are inconveniences every now and then. However, the experience had generally been positive. The airport shuttle was reliable. The property was beautiful, and the rooms and amenities were comfortable. However, things seem to have changed significantly late last year. My colleagues and I have experienced frequent and drawn-out power cuts and internet outages. This recent trip truly stood out. My flight arrived late, and the driver was not present, which was not unexpected as the delay was about two hours. However, when I tried to call the hotel, the network was down, and my call could not go through. At first, I thought there was something wrong with my phone, but several strangers (including the police) and a colleague tried to call for me, but again, no one could be patched through. I was the last passenger remaining at the airport that night. When I checked into my room that evening, the room temperature was around 24°C. I thought the temperature would lower with time, but this did not happen. My room did not reach 22°C until 3 a.m. I tried asking the front desk about this problem three times during my week’s stay, and no solution was offered until my last day, when I was finally offered a room change. However, this room’s temperature was even higher than mine. It was difficult to fall asleep. I was told that the generators did not power the AC and were being replaced or repaired. Frankly, this was rather shocking since this hotel is part of an international hotel chain where a certain standard would be expected by their international clientele. I tried emailing the general manager with no response. When I asked to see the manager, reception said that he was out of the country. In fact, I no longer use the hotel restaurant or room service because the service quality is so lacking that I would rather not waste time. Every meal at the restaurant takes at least three hours. It would take 30 minutes just to be acknowledged by the staff. Getting the menu would take another 30 minutes. Once, a room service order took two hours with no recognition of the problem. Instead of asking for a hairdryer or whatever I may need at the front desk, I bring everything with me just to avoid these interactions. Lastly, the gym equipment is in need of repair. I notified the hotel several times that one of the ellipticals no longer works. Now, all four treadmills have torn belts. I am frustrated and disappointed with my recent experience.

My recent stay at the Radisson Blu Brazzaville fell far short of expectations for a hotel of this caliber. Here's a breakdown of the issues encountered: Unreliable Climate Control: The hotel experienced frequent power outages, and their backup generators appeared inadequate. Unresponsive Staff: Despite repeated complaints about the hot rooms, reception staff offered no apologies or solutions. Requests to speak with a manager to address the issue were ignored. Limited Food Options & Service: While breakfast seemed satisfactory, the main dining option proved disappointing for dinner. The menu, advertised in English, contained inaccuracies. My minestrone soup lacked the promised white beans and resembled "a watery mess." When I requested cheesecake for dessert, I was informed it was unavailable, leaving only tiramisu. This on a Friday night with minimal restaurant occupancy raises concerns about inventory management. Overall Impression: Given the high price tag, the value proposition at the Radisson Blu Brazzaville simply doesn't justify the experience. The lack of proper air conditioning, unresponsive staff, and limited food options make this hotel a regrettable choice. I would not recommend it to other travelers and will certainly not stay here again if I return to Brazzaville.

Hotel is nice and modern. Business Class Lounge is non-existent though. No drinks or snacks served as advertised. Very disappointing. Not a great way to accommodate Radisson VIP status members. Room was clean. Air conditioning working normally.

The front desk personnel were very helpful as well as the doormen. Generally, everyone was helpful and friendly. The money exchange services with the Western Union in the hotel was less than ideal. They never had exact change. We appreciated the upgrade to a business class room but there was not much difference from a standard room.

My stay at Radisson Blu Hotel in Brazzaville was exceptional. The hotel's prime location along the Congo River offered stunning river views. The staff was incredibly attentive and made my visit memorable. The spacious and clean rooms were a perfect retreat after a day spent exploring, including a remarkable gorilla watching experience. The hotel's dining and leisure facilities were top-notch, and I particularly enjoyed the infinity pool with river vistas and the well-equipped gym. For a blend of luxury, convenience, and fitness, I highly recommend Radisson Blu Hotel in Brazzaville. It's a unique and unforgettable experience.
