ホテル ドゥ バージュ(Boat Hotel de Barge)

Had an excellent stay. The reception was very friendly and even packed us a huge breakfast the next day since we were traveling early morning. Would definitely travel again here.

We were welcomed kindly & were impressed with the Barge decor. As others have reviewed: we parked at the train station for 6.20€ for 24hrs (pay on exit) and walked to the hotel along a quiet street. The walk to the town centre was comfortable; we took several routes to explore the area and they took us 20-30mins). Breakfast was included with our stay and the variety was welcomed. Our canel-view room was akin to a cruise ship cabin; quirky with enough space for our luggage for our single night stay. We will be recommending our stay to family/friends who visit Bruges.

A very unique hotel experience with lovely views of the Gent-Bruges Canal. Excellent breakfast. Pleasant and helpful evening staff. Parking facilities are very minimal and inconvenient, and it is necessary to park at the Railway Station, some 1/4 mile away. The restaurant is not open on Tuesdays and we found it very difficult to find somewhere to dine in the evening.

I stayed here with 3 friends and had a great experience. Very friendly and courteous staff. Very clean and something a little different. Excellent breakfasts. One of the staff, Emily was very kind and took the time to explain many aspects of life in Belgium. I can highly recommend this hotel.

A beautiful barge and a comfortable and welcoming hotel. The only reason I have given 4 stars instead of 5 is because the restaurant (which has amazing reviews) was closed, but they did tell us in advance. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is in an ideal location about a 10 minute walk from the station and about a 20 minute walk into the town centre - all on the flat too!

Bedbugs everywhere. So be careful if you stay here. The rooms are not clean. They are very dusty. Combined with the bedburgs ... I didn't sleep very wel. Also no airco. Very warm. Only breakfast was nice.

A great place to stay, just a nice walk away from the centre of Bruges. Great service.

Such a disappoin**ent! I was super excited about our stay here, having read the reviews and looked at all the pictures online. I was shocked to find a room so small one couldn’t walk around the end of the bed, or open a small suitcase anywhere but ON the bed. The floors and bathroom were dirty ( dirt on floors, hairs mildew and rust in bathroom.) One small thin pillow on bed, thin lumpy mattress, old, small, thin towels. The concept of this hotel is so great, but sadly the execution does not meet expectations.

De Barge is very well located to explore Bruges and in a quiet area handy for the station. Recommend booking canal side view room, nice waking up to the ducks. The boat is fun, different & has everything you need. Beds were comfortable, breakfast very good, setting you up for the day.
