ホテル プラザ カーリロズ(Hotel Carrillos Cancun)

The staff were extremely rude and verbally aggressive and as soon as I arrived at hotel they were trying to force me to exchange my US$ in pesos at a really bad exchange rate and they were screaming at me that I must pay in advance only in the currency of their choice when no such thing was mentioned when I did my booking. The room was old and smelly with the shower sprinkling water everywhere and the breakfast was simply stinking as a public toilet and I was unable to eat there in all my 5 days. Instead of trying to rectify and improve their customer service the silly Management replies to me that I was the rude one and why did I stay there for 5 days... first of all I have absolutely no reason to be rude o my vacation and if they think its normal as soon as the guest arrives to ask for money and at a bad exchange rate obviously they have no clue whatsoever as to what customer care means... it seems normal there to scream at guests and demand money and them say the guest is the rude one.. WOOOWW... but how are your employees then??? Courteous, polite, professional??? Seriously ??? Anyways with such silly Management and such lousy replies blaming the guest what can i expect from the other staff??? By the way... if I would have decided not to check in or stay for as long as I have booked the room the money would have been deducted from me fully, so in case you did not realise not even that now the mystery is solved. DUHHH! Rude and Aggressive staff and Management until the end. They simply do not want to learn. What on earth are you doing in the customer service industry when you don't even have basic knowledge about customer experience. And trying in every possible way to extort money... simply disgusting. The worst possible experience when dealing with such low level, unqualified people. And the Management not only tolerates but supports and encourages such rude and aggressive behaviour. SIMPLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Very old. Next to bar which played OUTSIDE LOUD music until 4:00am 5 nights of the week. Couldn't sleep at all. Should be out of business unless the bar closes. Old beds, fixtures, windows, .... No restaurant. TERRIBLE HOTEL. Left after 1 night!!! Rate 0 out of 10

Find somwehere else. Upon arrival I showed them the booking details and receipt for payment. They told me I was not booked but eventually she looked at the correct paperwork on her desk and found the booking. I didn't expect a fancy room but this was awful. It was clean but very old and neglected. WiFi sometimes works and sometimes not. I am doing this review using my phone as a hotspot. We booked for 2 people but there was only 1 towel. The room has no fridge so you can't bring any cold drinks back. The beds were TERRIBLE. There is a wood base under the mattress and the mattress feels almost solid so you have a bad sleep. Construction work with hammering started on the room next door at 7.50 AM so again no chance to sleep in as you could feel the banging ... We are booked for 3 nights but leaving today after one night. Not even going to bother asking for refund.

I almost cancelled before I checked in when I saw the disco, six nights a week, next door. However, the friendly receptionist Sabina gave me a room furthest away and I never heard it my two nights. The trade-off was a loud humming noise outside my room from what I guess was a water pump or heating. All that said, it is a nice little hotel. Friendly staff, water refill, big room, super clean and good wifi.

The reviews were almost 8 at this Hotel, so I booked it. My booking said a balcony and patio, but the room they gave me had neither, so I asked to be swapped. The next room was lovely. But they said nothing about what I was going to experience, and for that, and after my complaint to the reception staff the next morning, I promised them this review. I'm still very annoyed at how I was treated and would happily await any response from them. I settled in for the night as I was up early the next morning to head to the airport for two long distance flights. All was good until 9.30pm. I heard loud music, and at first I thought it was a car, as you do. But it wasn't. I went out to the balcony and realised it was very close. The sign next to the hotel was for 11:11. Very soon I also heard people, and by 10.30, I realised it was a nightclub. And my heart sank. Maybe I should I have insisted I be moved again, but by 10.30pm I was unpacked, had my stuff everywhere, I was tired and wanted to sleep. But the music was so incredibly loud that my windows shook. And I could hear loud voices from the bathroom window too. I used ear plugs, pillow over my head, but I couldn't sleep. And this continued until 4.30am. At 8am I spoke to an English speaking receptionist. I asked for compensation and he flat out refused. I was extremely disappointed and very annoyed. If they had told me, I would have taken the first room. But they didn't, and of course they would have known. But saying that, the music was so loud that I'm fairly sure the whole hotel would have heard it. So if you wish to stay here, be absolutely sure that you will hear this nightclub on nights Thursday to Sunday when it's open. Monday to Wednesday will be quiet however! It's a ridiculous notion to have a nightclub next to a hotel. Who would do such a thing?

Cool place , good location, one block away to evening food court ,plaza ?? Need touch up ceiling water marks

Fantastic Hotel thats located perfectly in the middle of downtown Cancun. Great vibe, nice pool, fantastic staff.. Highly recommend for singles, couples, families..

Everything was smooth, they even helped us with parking. Rooms are nice and tidy and Internet works.... Its got everything that a budget travel could ask for :)

Really well located! 2 minutes walk from à food stations, 2 min walk from the R1 and R2 Bus, 4 min walk from the Ado bus station. Place is super clean, staff are kind and helpful! As per the shower, mmm they are at 10$ to change the water jet to make a 10/10 experience! Pool is also super clean! We paid 30-35$… And it really worth our money! Thanks!
