The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is far from town, so taxis are essential! The hotel doesn't really offer anything special for a 5 star hotel, so we were disappointed.

Fabulous position . A but disappointed that the Thalasotherapy was closed for refurbishment and we hadn’t been informed .

If you are looking for a property on the beach or with convenient access to the beach, do not stay here. The hotel is situated on a small hill, but there is no way to walk directly to the beach without walking out the back and taking a long way all the way around. Also, the room was pretty dated but the bathroom was nice. Not sure about the rooms facing the water - these are more expensive and perhaps in better condition. Regardless, it was not a 5* hotel experience at all. There was no air conditioning one night, which was terrible (and no compensation was provided for this inconvenience). Service was mixed - two of the bartenders were great but one of the front desk staff was not.

Fantastic hotel. Truly a 5-star. Huge rooms, very attentive staff. Great breakfast. Quiet, as it is not on the main *****, but still very walkable to everywhere.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Property is beautiful and the have everything you need.

Couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Santander. We didn't realize what a historic and impressive hotel this was until we arrived. Classic place. Beautiful grounds, amazing breakfast, helpful staff. Bring some walking shoes to explore the area. Free parking is key. Taxis are pretty cheap to get around the city if needed. Excellent Hotel. Arrived mid- morning, room ready! Departing early evening - keep the room until 2pm! Going to the beach - you’ll need some beach towels! This hotel couldn't do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The staff were so friendly. Muy buen, gracias.
