THE BIG ラグジュアリーバックパッカーズ(The Big - Luxury Backpackers)

We're in our 80s and are well traveled. We highly recommend THE BIG for senior travelers too. Don't be put off by It's backpackers label. It's a lovely place to stay for all ages. It's conveniently located for walking to the Vand A Waterfront. The staff are wonderful, the rooms comfortable and clean, the breakfasts healthy and plentiful.

The staff was exquisite. I loved the vibe of the people staying, the breakfast that was served was delicious. The family room that I had occupied was clean and the bathroom spacious. Next time it will be a balcony room for me so that I can enjoy the rays of sun & heath a bit more 😁

What a nice and friendly place. The rooms are really ok. Shower/toilet maybe a little bit small. But that doesn't care. Nice breakfast. Everything was clean, everyday clean towels. Good and safe stay in Cape Town. Friendly people and they can give you some advise.

I had an amazing stay at the Big. For me the no.1 thing I always look for is cleanliness. The entire property is spotless. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and continue to check how you are throughout your stay. Breakfast is a great way to meet other travelers if you're looking for company on your excursions. The location is quiet and residential but extremely close to anywhere you want to go in the central Cape Town areas. Beach/Pool towels to rent was an added bonus. I would definitely come back.

Wonderful experience from beginning to end. Great location, beautiful room and amenities. The breakfast was perfect. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They arranged tours and helped with anything I needed during my stay. Everything was clean and modern. The WiFi was fast. I would definitely stay here again. Wouldn’t change a single thing !! We spend 3 nights in this nice place which is well located in a secure neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and helped us for some reservations. The breakfast was really good (fresh fruits, yogurt, etc). Our room (the room on the top) was clean et spacious.

The big is a wonderful backpacker. The double room was amazing. It has personal touches that make us feel at home. There are coffee and tea available in the communal kitchen. Our room had a TV with Netflix, air-conditioning, and good Wi-Fi. All the girls in the reception were incredibly friendly. It seemed like we had been friends for a long time (especially Dommi). They arranged everything for us, like whale watching, a guide for the Table Mountain hike, car rental, and restaurants. They turned our travel into an incredible experience.

What a wonderful place! This luxery hostel is fantastic. It’s safe, cozy, has beautiful and clean rooms. Breakfast is included. Such nice and helpfull staff. About 20 minutes walk to the Waterfront area. The best hostel I have stayed in. Highly recommended!
